It's pretty great that HBO actually respected the artistic vision of the creator like that. Ngl, I think that you can do a lot with more seasons and further delve into the political and sociological themes of the show, but this ending is still pretty good. Angela might use the powers to do some truly great things, but she might fall into the same pit of apathy Dr Manhattan did. It's pretty ambiguous and I like that

Lindelof has been saying since before the first episode even aired that his idea was for a single season and it tells the story he wants to tell. He repeated the same sentiment after the series ended, but gave his blessing to HBO if they want to make one without him. Since then a couple of weeks ago a higher up at HBO said that it's entirely up to Lindelof if a season 2 is made, suggesting they have no plans to do one without him.

He didn't need to see the future to know she'd try to walk on water, she's the one that mentioned walking on water to him if she ate the egg the night they first met. By doing the walking on water in front of her and presumably putting his powers in the egg, he's the one that seeded the idea of the water wakling test in her.

Love the channel and I'm so happy these two, in particular, reacted to the series. I didn't like their impressions of the newsstand owner. I was hoping they would discuss whether Manhattan killed the original Calvin and Angela's grandmother to ensure events played out. No worries.

No season 2, that's confirmed. Lindelof said he told the story he wanted to tell and HBO doesnt want anyone else to do season 2 then Lindelof.

Peteypedia has some answers for some of the questions you've asked by the way. It does hint towards the identities of certain characters *ahem*.

”TWELVE HOURS LATER” - ”....but Jon can recreate his body, this has been proven!” I honestly think this is sort of a chicken or the egg scenario; if he could recreate himself, he probably could but he won't because he didn't.

The thing is, if he knew that walking on the pool was important then he must have been there to see it. Since he only see's things in his own timeline, he must not really be dead.
