I'm still in shock that this seasons whole plot hasn't been spoiled for the guys by Cosplay at conventions....

Wasn't the episode "School Reunion" with Sarah Jane at Coal Hill?

Coal Hill has a long history in Doctor Who. The Doctor’s granddaughter was a student there. His first companions were teachers at Coal Hill. And the Seventh Doctor comes back to Coal Hill to find a Galifreyan artifact he hid there

Little pet peeve. I would prefer if only only the Doctor and River could do the snapping trick.

I have a special affection for 10 and 12. They both feel like outliers. And I agree with Eric that while the episode may not always work I never have a bad one with Capaldi. He feels old and intense in a way you would expect the doctor to be once he's tied of this shit.

I am so glad you guys are enjoying my favourite doctor, Peter Capaldi.

Yes, this is Coal Hill school, which is the setting of the spin-off show Class.

I think Pink is just as damaged by war as the Doctor and is just as instantly suspicious of and unreasonable about Officers as the Doctor is of soldiers. And he saw in a short time how Clara jumps to when the Doctor gives an instruction. The Doctor, let's remember, turns his companions into his army when he needs them to be. What is it River says? 'We do what the Doctor's friends always do - as we're told'

Was it this school they wanted to make a spin off of? I remember them wanting to do a school series but don't remember if it became an actual thing ever.

Agreed, all three parties (Moffat, Capaldi, Coleman) have openly said that it's a complicated romance story between Clara and the Doctor, and Danny just happens to find himself in the middle of it.

Have you not seen kill the moon? Or the forest one? It might not have been the greatest episode but it's certainly not the worst of the season.

They wanted him to be another Mickey, but they never allowed him to actually join the team so he's kind of just left out as an obstacle rather than a character to contend with The Doctor like Mickey and Rory did

The 12th Doctor is so amazing because Peter Capaldi is a master actor, he's fucking incredible. Every single episode, even the bad ones (and there are some REALLY bad ones coming up in the next couple of seasons) are saved somewhat by Capaldi's stellar performances. Capaldi is the most consistent in terms of the quality of the performance and he's definitely tied with 10 for my favourite Doctor

This is admittedly the weakest episode of Series 8 for me personally, but even still, it furthers a lot of the great and increasingly complex character drama that this series juggles.

i really dont like the character of danny pink, he felt like a rushed character that they wanted to be another rory, but terrible, arrogant and plainly annoying.

I always saw Number 12 less of a father figure and more of a jealous ex boyfriend, at least in his first season.

Anyone who has to watch two specific episodes of the rest of this season benifits from a low IQ.

I hope Eric's intelligence goes down a bit for later this season so he doesn't guess stuff. Lol
