Obvious suspects are Laurel, Felicity or Dante, but none of them seem likely in my opinion. My wild “out there” guess is maybe it was Anatoli. He was on board with killing Diaz earlier this season, and I imagine if he showed up outside Diaz’s cell, Diaz would wonder why he was there.

Well I think Aaron had a point about his reaction not fitting it being Dante , and the fact that Diaz helped Dante not get caught. Also, multiple people know his face now, so Diaz wouldn’t be killed for that. Dante has no motive to kill him since Diaz helped him.

Something JUST occurred to me...how the hell is Blackstar blonde? It has been mentioned and even shown several times in earlier seasons that Felicity dyes her hair blonde (The CHARACTER, not the actress) and Oliver sure isn’t blonde either. Continuity error? Did they forget that Felicity isn’t a natural blonde?

It makes more sense for it to be Laurel. Diaz dies after his sprinkler water is replaced with Gasoline and he has a lighter tossed onto him, the same way he killed his childhood bully back in Season 6, the only other witness, Laurel.

All I’ll say is.... I KNEW it! I said in the comment of mine that Aaron read out a couple weeks ago that Emiko didn’t train herself. She was training with those throwing knives in exactly the same way Dante was using them, weve seen he can fight at an Oliver-style, world-class level...it was him. He taught her how to fight as she does.

I dont know... I wouldnt be upset if it was Emiko under Dante's orders or something like that.

Diaz told us Dante would kill him and burning the old big bad is a good way to setup the new big bad. But I wonder if he used a random thug or Emiko.

i think its laurel, she could enter the prison under the premise of being the DA, but i still dont how she would have been able to set up the gas.

I"m going to guess Dante because he seems to be the only person Diaz has actually feared, but tin foil hat theory is Emiko.There's clearly more to her than meets the eye and it'd make for one hell of a twist.

I feel like he'd be more cocky like it was Laurel. Idk the way he reacted to whoever showed up was too casual to be Dante OR Laurel. Maybe one of the Longbow Hunters.

I gonna go with Dante on this one based on comic book stuff related to Dante and based on how Diaz feared what would happen to him if Dante found out about his betrayal
