I see Ivar losing but surviving, he still needs to play his chess game again with Alfred. I see King Alfred vs Ivar as a big plot point for Season 6. The two great tacticians of the Vikings and the Christians.

Ivar will definitely lose, but I don't see him dying yet

On the one hand, I don’t think Ivar had yet to really own his reputation from the sagas. On the other, the show takes liberties so who knows?

I think, that Ivar has shown, that he is very good at defending a city. So I think he will at least win initial attacks, even though he may eventually fail. Either way, he will make them pay dearly. I could even see him fleeing while torching the place behind him, rather than lelting them have it. It might be interesting, if he could somehow take control of Frodo´ s danes.

I will just say, when Floki saw that cross I finally understood what revenge feels like. Ok, Ivar will lose and realize he was never worthy of his father's throne.

i dont know whos gonna win, but im so hyped from last episode that im just excited to see the fight!

The thing is that now that all (or at least almost all) the people that opposed Ivar are out of Kattegat, it can only mean that there is no real character to root for in his side. But if Ivar still wins I expect to either Harald or Hvitserk to die one way or another. The show is reaching its end and they need to close cycles

ivar needed that wake-up call and I see him focussed on the war ahead , he's the smartest son of ragnar ... it would be a trick or a maneuver but a win is a win

Well, historically, Ivar's supposed to be in England, so I'm thinking if they want to re-align the show with history, they're going to have Ivar suffer a crushing defeat and flee back to York, or near York since the Saxons have retaken it, and he'll start his attack on the Saxons.

It's about time for the show to move on from the whole "Ivar the Tyrant" phase, so hopefully he will lose.

The way I see it, Ivar is severely outnumbered. Even if he fortifies his defenses I don't think he'll win. We're losing some important characters, though.
