This is the one show where I think you guys should switch to the sub version since the dub doesn't do the characters justice. Guess it's kinda annoying everyone saying the same thing but only because people want them to have the best experience when reacting to this awesome show :)

Seriously, you people need to shut up about this. They've already explained that they prefer the dub and why they they aren't going to watch the sub. They know what the popular opinion is regarding which is better, but they've expressed time and time again that they just don't feel the same way. To continue insisting that they watch the sub despite all of this is unreasonable, selfish, and annoying.

Would you guys consider watching this subbed? I normally wouldn't care but the Japanese voice acting for this show just adds SO much more of an experience. Perhaps just rewatch the first ep subbed in your own time and decide for yourself? I just really don't want you guys to miss out on that. The english dub just really tends to undermine serious scenes. A lot of this show is just better expressed in Japanese.

My overall observation and guess is some humans have been trying to get rid of Titans by experiments maybe and the Tissue ones are attempts but failures or the Tissue bound types are humanized weapons and using Titans to destroy other human groups.

Curious about what you'll think of it. The beginning absorbs you because the setting is really good. You will likely slowly grow out of love with it because the characters are mostly boring and constipated and angsty.

Dub can be good but sometimes dub will change a sentence here or there so it will sound better in English. I mostly watch sub but there’s a few shows I liked dub over sub “FMAB” is one of them.

I know they will never have time to do this, but I wish they would just do a side-by-side comparison of one episode dubbed versus subbed to see why people are urging them to do the subbed. I totally understand why they prefer dubs for reactions, but I just want them to at the very least appreciate the difference and why in certain emotional scenes, the original voices are indeed better. The seiyuu's performances are just, in general, more gut-wrenching.

I always hope that for folks who watch the dub first, they will end up loving the show enough to rewatch the subbed version. The AoT dubs aren't bad, but for many crucial, emotional moments, I'm sorry, the Japanese seiyuus win, hands down.

Hey just out of curiosity, can any of you with complains about different translations in dub/sub (in anime in general) actualy speak japanies? Becouse it seems to me that sub could be sometimes translated incorrectly and dub correctly. It is hard to believe it is always the other way around. Just so I´m clear, I can´ t speak japanies so I am only curious. (And yes I´ m aware that the translation itself isn´ t always the problem and that the issues are often VAs, sreams, etc.)

I don't mind people who dislike the dub. I'd probably consider myself one of them. My issue is with the people who won't stop bitching about people who react to the dub or the people who genuinely prefer it. Blind Wave has expressed over and over again that watching dubbed versions makes reacting to a show an overall better experience for them. As long as they aren't having any serious issues with the dub, why the fuck should our personal preference matter at all? If people just want to watch it in their own way then they should fuck off from here and do just that.

I know Dub works better for you all, and I am cool with it, but I wanted to point out a non-spoilery character change. In the original, Armin has a higher pitched voice and is supposed to be sexually ambiguous. The dub clearly makes Armin out to be male when the writing purposely avoids pronouns in regards to Armin. In fact, the creator was actually asked an innocent question about the who Mikasa's closest female friend is, to which the creator responded "Armin." I think the dub takes too many liberties if it brushes off original creativity like that, even if it isn't a story changing factor.

I will not watch their reactions for this anime. They are watching it in dub, and my ears hurt. Kinda wish they would listen to their viewers since we are paying to watch other shows ,majority agreed to dub and this is just a bit disappointing.
