2018-02-26 20:28:56 +0000 UTCAnother week of Black Sails! Again, really glad you seem to be enjoying this episode, even if everyone's making questionable decisions all over the place. Then again, this show is always full of people having their own plans, and not knowing other people's plans. It tends to happen a lot. Completely agree with Eric, I also always end up second-guessing everything when watching Silver. He's such a fun character, but you have no idea where you have him. In general, it's difficult to get a clear grip on some of the characters in this show, because while we know them here, we know so little /about/ them. Like they said about Flint. Let's just say that this show has many things thought out long beforehand, but it's not afraid to keep its cards close to its chest. I think that speaks for some level of confidence in the writing. Fun fact, Benjamin Hornigold is also a real life pirate. I love the way they mix historical and fictional in this show. Small clarification that can confuse a lot of people - the island isn't entirely inhibited by pirates, there are other "normal" people there as well. The pastor that came to talk to Miranda probably has his little congregation of people who stay well away from the pirates, way more inland, which is where Miranda's house is - hence why Flint had to ride there. Waiting for next week is always so difficult, but so worth it. Also, I have to add, incredibly impressed with your note-taking for this. I remember I didn't know half the names you do first time I watched this with friends. You're keeping up really well.
