Star Wars Rebels 4x11 Poll!
Added 2018-02-21 12:52:22 +0000 UTCWhat do you think is most true about Kanan moving forward?
Comments
I don't think he will be a force ghost or manifest with the force as he was never taught how to become one like Yoda, Obi wan and like, unless he is a another qui gon Jin who manages to become a ghost too.

2018-02-25 02:07:20 +0000 UTCIs manifesting in The Force and being the Big Wolf the same thing???
2018-02-24 15:47:18 +0000 UTCI don't remember if they ever stated in in the show but there are canon comics that establish that Kanan's original name is Caleb Dume so ... (I put both dead and the wolf since I kinda think he is both)

2018-02-22 23:26:17 +0000 UTCI think we'll see him back in some way, whether that's through the force or as the wolf, I'm not sure. Something that's interesting though is that the symbol on the Dume wolf's head is the symbol Kanan had on his shoulder-pad...

2018-02-22 20:07:53 +0000 UTCWhile I really want him to somehow be alive, Dave has pretty much confirmed he’s dead. Then again, this is Dave, so he may have been leading us on a red herring. Personally I believe that if he is dead, he’s either the Wolf, or going to be a Force Ghost.

2018-02-22 06:51:57 +0000 UTCI think he will manifest in the force in the last episode for Ezra. God, I already miss him, what an epic moment that was...

2018-02-22 05:11:11 +0000 UTCWhen the big wolf was asking Ezra why he ran, I took it as they are trying to teach him that he can’t run away from his grief or problems. With his master gone, Ezra has to step up and take charge of the few rebels left on Lothal. I don’t think it was Kanan. But that’s just my own interpretation. I also felt that when the large white wolf we had seen throughout the season was chasing Ezra, it was lashing out in anger after Kanan’s death. I heard a theory that the wolf was Kanan’s old master who came back as a force/wolf/thing. I also want to think about the possibility that the wolves here are just Lothal’s own Bendu. But of a different nature. Like, each planet that has a stronger tie to the Force has a “guardian” with it that represents what the Force means to that planet and how the planet has evolved to use the Force in its own way. I could be wrong, but I figured I’d throw it out there.

2018-02-22 01:14:07 +0000 UTCI think he will manifest in the Force and somehow link in with Mortis and the Wolves. I'm pretty sure we will see him again before the end of the series.
2018-02-22 00:10:47 +0000 UTCI knew Kanon's death was inevitable and I cried when he died but I think he will return as force ghost helping Ezra or something and make me cry all over again.

2018-02-21 23:55:39 +0000 UTCHe survives and eventually marries Hera, but they are both so traumatized by their experiences that they become drunkards who sell their daughter for drinks and then ow ow ow STOP IT ow quit hitting me ow ow!!

2018-02-21 22:34:57 +0000 UTCI pick E , kanan is Jesus. Seriously though I think he is just a manifest of the force. Other jedi have become force ghost without any training. Especially when they sacrifice themselves.

2018-02-21 21:44:07 +0000 UTCThat death scene was to perfect and impactful for it to be a fakeout. Of course, I thought the same thing about Ahsoka. If Anakin can become a Force ghost without any training, there is no reason why Kanan couldn’t as well. Though if he does, I think it will only be in a strong with the Force place, like the Jedi Temple

2018-02-21 21:03:40 +0000 UTCWell we know Jedi Spirits do live on but maybe some jedi become different force beings since Yoda and Obi Wan had to be taught to keep there Jedi appearance after death

2018-02-21 20:20:21 +0000 UTCKanan is gone, if anything he'll manifest in dreams or visions but he didn't get the training Qui-Gon passed on to Yoda, Obi-Wan, and through Obi-Wan, Luke. So he shouldn't be able to return as a Force Ghost

2018-02-21 19:41:51 +0000 UTCDon't worry guys. I am one with the Force. We will see each other again.

2018-02-21 19:24:40 +0000 UTCI agree with Shane, He has to be tied with the Wolf, the blue eyes and symbol on it's forehead (similar to the one that he had on his right shoulder plate) are giveaways. Oh, and the wolf says I. Am. Dume. The last word being the episode title. Kanan has never had the formal and extensive training required to manifest himself into a force ghost a la QGJ (at first), Yoda and Obi Wan. This may be Filoni introducing another way a Jedi can manifest themselves after death.

2018-02-21 18:33:58 +0000 UTCI don't watch this show or know anything about it, but I voted "he is dead," because I wanted to be a part of something.

2018-02-21 17:09:56 +0000 UTCThe wolves obviously have a strong force connection, perhaps Kanan can achieve limited communication indirectly through them. Would be much better than an actual physical manifestation
2018-02-21 17:06:51 +0000 UTCI think he was and somehow still is a big part of what the wolves are doing. If he comes back it will be through the force; I really hope he isn’t the giant wolf!

2018-02-21 15:28:54 +0000 UTCI think he might be the wolf, even if he doesn’t know it. Kinda like Gandalf being reincarnated as “the White”. He didn’t immediately recall who he was. The symbol on the wolf’s head was the same as the one Kanan had on his shoulder in season 1, and I think the eyes were the same color too

2018-02-21 12:59:20 +0000 UTCHis death means alot, he isn't the wolf but without him sacrificing himself the Empire could have chosen a different plan, making the whole saga no even happen
