Sprung (Set)

And here it is, folks!

Took longer than I intended, and produced more than I planned, but I'm very happy with the results.  Being a test set, maaaan did I learn a lot this round!  🤯  Tons of work on hair, vignetting, wet shaders, and a whole laundry list of minor details!

This is a reimaging of a Nintendo game of old, specifically one scene from it.  So this is my version of Becky and Elliot from that scene.

In this iteration, Becky's an amateur Instagram model with all the trimmings - nose job, fake boobs, the works.  All paid for with sponsorships and credit cards.  She needs a breakout role to boost her profile and get out of debt.  So she meets up with a talent agent (Elliot) scouting girls to be casted in a hip-hop megastar's music video.  She wants exposure through collabs, castings, and to eventually burst onto the LA minor celebrity circuit.

Little does she know that Elliot's a major sleazeball.  But she does know that the kind of career she's after don't come without paying the piper.  Only she's the one doing the blowing!  😝

I've laid out the renders in a way that the plot is self-explanatory.  However, I'm deeply sorry that these test sets don't come with narrative text.  Adding a writing component to these render jobs would take more time than I can spare for what are just experiments in 3D rendering.  But I will talk more on this in this month's episode of Spent Rounds.  🤔

But fear not - I'm loving this Sprung remake so much that I've decided that this will be the comic I work on after TTLG Book 2!  And Becky will have a fleshed out story with a really good narrative (just like Book 1).  🥳

And unlike the game, this chapter won't end with Becky being pumped and dumped.  As you can tell from where this set ends, Becky actually gets some good news during her Walk of Shame the morning after.  😉
