Oh my god, we have to wait with that on our minds ??? Well as you like to say the plot is thickening and getting Verrry interesting. And yeah they did a great job keeping the original plot up their selves so they can drag the viewer right back into it.

One thing I found cool about the scene with the casting producer and play director: it asks one of the questions that this series revisits repeatedly: why is it that some idols (and entertainers in general) make it really big, while others languish in obscurity? Quantity wise, there's way too many groups and competition for everyone who is in the industry to "make it big" of course, but even then, for those who have thrown themselves into the j-idol fandom all know, there are just some handful that seem to garner an almost unbelievable amount of popularity at the national level. What is it that makes them such standouts? Or as the show as asserted this episode, what is their so-called "star factor"? Surely the performers' own effort, their company's production experience, backstage expertise etc all play a role... but does that really explain the disparity to that extent? As a story, the writers have weaved their commentary about the nature of the industry to sell "lies" from the first episode into the essence behind the plot, and in this scene, tied it to this question as well. It's still just a fiction, so it glosses over lots of real life considerations, but I appreciate how tightly the writers keep their ship run with the periodical revisits to the theme of their plot.

Normal stuff. Carmen, Into the Woods, Naked Mole Rats, West Side Story, Charlie Brown....a metric fuck ton of one offs and 3 different production companies out on the ships. Some random stuff as well in Seattle

Same man

Tony, I don't remember if you've ever talked much about the theatrical gigs you were involved with. You able to name drop any shows you supported?

Jet Man

Not a manga reader so I too am on the edge of my seat for this one

Season 2 will have 13 episodes in total so we have 4 episodes left :D Getting to experience the theatre arc again in the anime it was even better than when I first read it in the manga. I really like the rest of the series as well before and after the theatre stuff but to me these 9 episodes definitely is the peak of the storytelling. Can’t wait for next week!

AussieBoy

Man I'd love to see the casting guy get knocked down a peg, he's so irritating. He's more annoying than the teenagers and they at least have a good excuse for their nonsense, lol.

LegionaresCZ

It gets darker and more sinister from here…
