Vinland Saga S2 Ep 19

Speaking of a long producing time I’m still waiting for Chainsaw Man ending 3 to get produced. That project has been sitting in someone’s computer for almost 3 damn years now, I’ve nearly forgotten it at this point

How dare you have a subjective opinion on music! /s

I would love to see Golden Kamuy show up on the patreon at some point. It's definitely lower quality than Vinland Saga, and it certainly isn't as philosophical, but it's another historical anime (takes place in Hokkaido following the Russo-Japanese War) and somehow it's the closest thing in my mind to Vinland despite being different in a lot of ways. The comedy is also absolutely unhinged.

I really love how Vinland saga does dream and visions of passing or near passing. How In this one, arnheid decided to stay behind in the dark forest that is "life" because the wolf and elk (representing Thorfinn and Einar) are still there enduring and living in those hardships. It's such an effective and simple, yet powerful metaphor. 5 more episodes of Peakland Saga left.

I would love Hunter x Hunter (2011) to be on the poll, given that he's already mentioned that he likes the music enough to listen to it in his own time for his enjoyment, and there's serious moments as well, even if it may not be a Seinen replacement

As for what's potentially going on the poll to replace Vinland I've been seeing a lot of Monster recommendations. While I absolutely adore that series and it really would be a good philosophical/introspective/serious type show to fill Vinland's gap if you're considering it for the poll keep in mind its 74 episodes long so even at 2 a week thats 37 weeks of it being on the channel, that's 71% of a year. It's amazing and absolutely worth watching but just wanted to point that out to keep it's length in mind as I've seen it get suggested a lot and I dont know what time commitment you're up for. As far as something that won't take potentially a year to finish and is philosophical, introspective and serious I'm personally hoping for options like Neon Genesis Evangelion (plus End of EVA movie is a must), Serial Experiments Lain, From the New World or Paranoia Agent. There are two I'd also add to this list but some of the content in these two series may be a bit too uncomfortable or plain disagreeable for the channel and some people (I'm not knocking the series or the potential people who'd not be okay with the very specific parts I'm thinking of because while it's handled maturely it is still subject matter some people understandably just don't want in the media they are engaging with) but are still amazing series which are Bokurano and Rainbow.

Sweet. That's fun

What type of stuff is she drumming to?

DrumRollTony

Thanks Tony for touching base on how you felt about the opening. Lol I like how you said your a live music nerd. Being new to your patreon i was a bit to sensitive on how you felt about the opening but it see that your very passionate about what you hear and i appreciate that. Love ya. Happy Labor day btw. 🤜

Can't wait for the next ones

Well said tangent. Keep it real. We can't lose who you are, because you were born, raised, and trained, outside of certain 💩. I know some get habitat triggered. However, we need you alive in our ears, hearts, and musical soul, so we don't lose the fire on the pillar. Even my daughter, a young drummer at 10, is adapting some of your Tony-isms.

Walt D

From the New World is a good one. That one's more of a thriller with horror elements than an actiony one.

this is so good

Tauren Rogue

Oh yea!! I got them mixed up.

Thorfinn wanted to say goodbye to the old master, not Ketil but his father, the grandpa that helped him and Einar and even tried to save Gardar. Probably had his share of fucked up history, but he was a positive part of Thorfin's and Einar's lives.
