Despite all the encouragements from Makoto and Ann, Futaba remained skeptical about the lab's free experimental trials. The fact that her two friends had changed so much in such after taking part in the trials raised a lot of concerns. Nevertheless, she eventually agreed to take part after having the lab's representative signed a contract with two strict conditions. First, her physics would be enhanced in specific ways that she had personally instructed. And second was that the lab would not try to alter her mind the same way they did with her friends. Makoto reassured Futaba and offered to foresee her trial in order to put her mind at ease.

However, despite all these precautions, Futaba did not anticipate that, during the trial, the lab instead implanted the memories of dozens of their staff members into her mind, thus indirectly altering her mind. Although her already high intelligence had been increased further as the result, having the memories of so many people caused her to become high mentally unstable. Soon, the trial had transformed the shy little Futaba into a completely different individual, tall, beautiful, and sexy. The only traits that remained were her orange hair and her intellect.

Now, with her ideal body and a crazed mind, Futaba had become the embodiment of a mad scientist.
