It’s my first time watching as well, but I love the actor Im Si-wan, he has a good movie, Emergency Declaration, and a lot of good dramas, one of my favorites is “Summer Strike “, so I’m watching this scary serie for him.

you are confused because you are forcing yourself to understand the beginning leak of what may happen. instead of just watching it to learn the characters traits and dynamics. everything follows through but if you are focusing on the end and figuring out the puzzle all the answers you get wont make sense because your tryna finish a story from episode 1 lol be patient and just enjoy the characters and the build

also i feel like this drama is unintentionally funny and entertaining like i find myself cracking up a lot more than i thought i would… but that could also be bc the sfh fandom (this drama has a cult following) is full of insane ppl who make funny memes out of these characters which i saw a lot of prior to watching lmao

maybe it’s bc y’all aren’t used to this genre but i feel like the pacing is right for a psychological thriller i mean it’s only the first episode it’s supposed to make you feel confused and uncomfortable but leave you wanting more. The fact that we don’t know much about the mc is intentional, you’re supposed to put yourself in his shoes and feel unsettled along with him but you can’t fully feel attached to him bc you don’t know enough about him either! you see little glimpses of his time in the military as well as him suppressing his anger so it makes you curious as to how things will turn out for him. This drama does a great job at creating the right atmosphere and building suspense not just towards the creepy people in the building but the mc and his own mental wellbeing.

Idk why you guys are confused. It is what it is. They even showed in the first episode that creepy pervert guy hitting someone with a hammer on the 4th floor and insinuated that smiley guy killing a cat. Pretty simple, pyschopaths in a Boarding House and the main lead has a lot of pent-up anger which makes him borderline crazy like those guys. The first sequence showing him getting beaten and drag across the floor. So the following scenes are showing you how the hell he end up in that situation. No need to know about his background. Pay attention to what it's showing to you now.

The main character is the actor that played serial killer in movie that you watched “Unlocked”, he just has different hairstyle. Strangers from hell is definitely one of the best psychological thriller/horror kdrama series. It gets better and more understandable with each episode, trust me

Think of this drama as a roller coaster that starts in the dark and once you can see you're at the top of the drop. The plot will clear up and that's when the fun really starts. Also, the blurred thing they do in dramas is hilarious. Anything that is being used as a weapon, even just holding it is blurred, I've even seen cigarettes blurred. The first part is confusing because it's one of those show that give a peak of the ending and use the rest of the series to explain how it got there.

The show is more a psychological thriller than horror. There aren't many jump scares but the show freaks you out with the "feel" of it. The cramped, humid environment with the lingering suspicion that someone is always watching you. I think it is a very good show, it is quite different from every kdrama out there. It might seem a bit slow paced at the beginning, but it starts to increasingly get more interesting. You can't really predict what will happen next.

just fyi, siwan, the mc, was a member of the kpop group ze:a along with park hyungsik who is also a big actor now and a part of wooga squad with v, and park sae jun(etc) and all 3 of them were in the kdrama hwarang along with another idol actor, minho from shinee. yall should watch hwarang soon!

i don’t think strangers from hell is scary. i think it’s just disturbing and like can give goosebumps and strikes into like ur violent emotions coz of what the main character is going through but not really scary like a horror movie

I think many people tend to live this way in Korea because they don't have enough money. 550 might seem cheap but in Korea thats a lot of money especially for people that come outside of Seoul.

I start watching when I saw the reaction list for the week….. I think a better fit to react on the similar gore vibes would be the kdrama CONNECT, on Disney+. It just makes more sense. With this one I’m on ep 3 or 4 and I still don’t get the ish, I like the first ep, the rest was a bit boring for me….but it reminds me of one of my favourite movies from 2003 (Identity), creepy building with the unsettling residents…It’s not scary at all… just unsettling or weird. …I love the format in WEBTOON, and the drawing style, plot fits the medium…. But for some reason it does not fit live action for me. I love the main character (the actual actor, don’t know his name), he’s been in very good projects…. But I don’t know….I think I would be able to watch properly if that uncle with that annoying laugh wasn’t there. I just can’t 🤌🏽😫…. But I will continue watching just with you guys! 🧡
