2023-01-16 07:17:20 +0000 UTCHyun's mother mentioned that he had trouble controlling his anger before, so the fuck face murder attempting to get them all killed ofc pushed him over the edge. That is why i see hyun as the the moral line in this series, thats why he is still trying to follow the law and rules set as much as he can, cause once they are crossed its hard to come back. That is also why i love the chemistry between hyun and saebom cause they cover each other in so many different aspects. Also side not how fuck face says dead man cant report him, but he still fails to realize as he hasnt fully seen it himself that the infected ARE NOT DEAD yet, so his plan was gonna fail no matter what in the end.

When I watched this show the first time, episode 5 and 6 were my favorites and honestly your guy's commentary just makes it even better watching again. 2023-01-16 04:54:21 +0000 UTCit is heightened with the zombies but this is how people act with any new infection/disease like with covid people would act so dumb I work in claims and I remember this lady saying she had to drive with her injuries an hour out because if she used the ambulance from accident scene it would take her to a covid infected hospital because it wasn't a good area meaning a low income area and she wouldn't get adequate treatment where the poor get treated.

TBH I wasn't too keen on this show when I first watched it, but somehow watching it again with you guys made the show better and more entertaining for me. I just finished watching EP1 of The Last of Us. I think you guys would really enjoy it!

2023-01-16 04:00:36 +0000 UTCThe drama Happiness highlights the various versions of human beings and how we handle certain crises. Not only that but it also shows how layered society is. There is a mixed variety of people in the drama: those who will help others selflessly (the leads); those who sacrifice others for the greater good (colonel); those who put others at harm to save themselves first (building rep lady), those who think money is POWER (Oh Joo). Then you have more introspective characters ( Older Detective) who are as confused as many of us viewers. These characters may have thought to themselves, " should I help or not?" "Will me helping affect my safety and we can't necessarily blame them for thinking that way. I know that we may all hate certain characters and even the building rep lady but if I were in her position I wouldn't have opened the door either. There was blood and she wouldn't have known if he got in contact with a zombie or not. But then again from the lead's POV, they went out there to gather more intel to share with the 'Whole' group. So to me, neither of them is wrong or right because in a time as chaotic as that we'd be busting our asses off to stay safe and COVID-19 was a perfect example of that. **Just my two cents.** PS: If you guys see this please check out Taxi Driver on VIKI. It's not a STUDIO DRAGON production so it shouldn't be flagged on Youtube (hopefully).

Also this kdrama really does well with showing how some characters are going through different stages of emotions; denial, anger, bargaining, and acceptance. This proves how people react differently to the situation, therefore, in a way, it's easier to understand their actions.

2023-01-16 02:37:11 +0000 UTCThe end scene is more powerful when you think about Hyun conversation with Bom in the store, about him being "good or by the law" Hyun says in the store that if he crosses the line then it will be harder to keep the line the next time (for lack of a better words) meaning he wanted to pay for the food because if he makes the exception for this it will be easier the next time to make excuses when he feels the need to cross the line. So him putting the blood on jerk face was him crossing the line. So in the bathroom at the end he apologized & she hugged him & basically told him he did the right thing & he shouldn't be so hard on himself. She was showing she understands where he was coming from.

He knows he could go down for the death of his wife. But if you can get rid of witnesses, ie: the two main characters, during a zombie outbreak, no one will be the wiser when things go back to "normal".

This show strikes me as a strong look into how humans would react during a zombie outbreak even down to the protest demanding better treatment for the infected. I also like how so far, we barely see any zombie attacks, but the suspense is still thick.
