So after basically two weeks of furiously writing, I have finished the script for the Chindits Episode, working title "And Then It Got Worse..." - which is excellent and bad all at the same time. I had planned to also cover the Burma Independence Army, the Indian National Army, SOE and V-Force. Sadly I have had to shelve all four, as the Chindits bit on it's own is sitting at 11,500 words, so roughly 1hr 20 of content and...yeah...that's a lot.

I was particularly excited to talk about SOE as the story of their...well....wild incompetence for 99% of the war followed by one of the most amazinf special forces actions of the entire conflict is pretty cool. So we may have to work that into the Advance to Rangoon episodes when the time comes, but for now perhaps consider this - the war was really bad and there were a lot of terrible jobs one could wind up doing - being an infantryman landing on a Pacific island, or being an He177 test pilot, or driving a T-34. But if your ambition was to be tortured to death in relative obscurity almost the moment you went into action then SOE was the service for you. In Burma I reckon between 1942-1944 your chances of grusome end were actually 100% and no one has ever heard of them.

So when will the episode be out? Not a clue, I have a sponsor, they're being difficult, and don't want it now until November so, I guess, November.

Meanwhile I will be researching the Admin Box, Kohima and Imphal and the Road of Bones that followed, so fear not, lots more content soon!
