My concentration is still doing terrible at night though so I’m just sitting here not really having the motivation to do anything. I thought I would see if anyone wanted to ask me anything about the story and upcoming plans and things. Just be wary of spoilers since I’ll answer pretty much anything, though nothing is 100% set in stone.

We’ll have conflict but I’m more interested in character drama and self improvement as you’ve said than I am in making this into something it’s not. I did have a jokey idea for a big villain tied to one specific potential heroine but it would be treated as a joke in that Oliver would basically reject the entire notion of a villain entering his life by making an exception and dipping into brainwashing shit to be like ‘yeah no go away and leave me and everyone in my life alone forever’ lmao if you want to hear the context I can share, just might be spoilery for a character I’m not sure I’m using yet

2024-04-19 11:51:13 +0000 UTCI am pretty sure there will be a drag competition at some point since there was a lot of set up with that and I feel like it’s expected (him getting Vogueing basically cements it lol), it’ll probably Stacy’s 1st heart event as a low stakes intro to her, but I don’t think he’s ready to fully go down that route before Rebecca. Hard to say. Rebecca opens up more locations than she might look like, though. Card game tournaments and tabletop gaming shops, etc. Alternatively he might just chip away at everyone a little bit at a time once we’re done with Zoe HE2 since I wrote it in a way where he has to prioritize Zoe to make Mia happy and I won’t be boxed in to focusing on one girl at a time after that.

Like little catty stuff and teasing yeah but full on jealous to the point where it becomes drama is a hard pass. I like when all the girls are happy, support each other, and are inexplicably bisexual lol

I certainly don’t think you have anything to lose from making your stuff public if you’re already writing, and there’s a lot of money to be made if you make something really popular but otherwise it won’t be that much. I’d need to know more to give actual advice on this, are you specifically talking about haremlit?

It feels like that would’ve made more sense when he’s not actively made the resolution to pursue all his heroines but now that we’re past that it would just result in a character that progresses way, way, way too fast unless there was a contrived reason he’s trying to avoid her, but again, I think that’d be out of character for Oliver currently. I did vaguely have an idea for a heroine I’ve talked about publicly once or twice that might fit some of this but it’d complicate things a lot.

2024-04-19 07:05:33 +0000 UTCIt’s hard for him to get any tier 3 when he’s actively pursuing goals and needs to hoard LP for clearing Heart Locks. He’ll get some but only after really big moments where he has a ton of LP I think. It’s mentioned that a lot of the tier 3 ones are fun sex powers, but there will be more. Admittedly I have the hardest time thinking of tier 3 cause I feel adding more and more risks making him extremely over powered which I want to avoid.

I’m retaining the right to introduce other people with supernatural abilities and I may have a few specific ideas already but I don’t ever want it to be a huge focus or suddenly change the genre into action or whatever and add drama. The implication is just that the gummies he had were some sort of psychic awakening. Maybe there’s people behind that, but it doesn’t really matter.

Do you think you’ll ever have Oliver run into another protagonist? Or reveal why and how he got chosen this way? Have you decided what the reason is for that, or is it just “it happened because that’s what makes the story work?“

Especially when Bradley spelled out why she’s likely not registered yet. And I wouldn’t have paid to get her a design and art if she wasn’t, too. But yeah I mentioned recently that I have more ideas for other heroines because I don’t like how we’re limited to two groups- work and Mia’s friends. As for Bradley, the brackets are basically weird moments of clarity between his typically strange inflections. Imagine anything in brackets sounds like a computer reading the words inside perfectly.

2024-04-19 06:19:23 +0000 UTCIt’s really hard to answer this specific question due to how fluidly I write this story compared to anything else I’ve written but the general plan is that Becca is next after Zoe is further along and Stacy is likely after Becca, but there’s a much bigger asterisk on Stacy since I can’t say 100% that we won’t have another heroine in the mix by then.
