2025-07-26 03:23:09 +0000 UTCI'll be honest, after so many chapters of people's perspectives regarding what was going on in the world becoming something of a habit in this story, I was kind of hoping to get everybody's immediate reaction to Axel getting caught in the explosion, at least Sansa's and Arianne's. It would have been interesting to see how devastated they were once they learned of it and given us good insight into their relationship with Axel, because so far we basically just know they care about him, and they want to get married. Most of their relationship courting one another has been 'off-screen', making it difficult to really envision any real sort of bond between them, and makes Sansa's statement that she's not sure she can live without Axel feel kind of empty and hollow. Getting to see the shift from 'I can't believe he's dead' to 'I can't believe he's walking around on fire' would have been fun. Plus, it would have given more weight to Sansa and Arianne's truce if we'd gotten to see them digest that information, because as it stands it feels a bit abrupt. That said, I know each chapter is relatively short and the story most go on, so I do get it. Doesn't make it any less disappointing imo though.
