2024-11-15 19:34:25 +0000 UTCOn a scale of British accents you were…both on it 😆. I think Renee Zellweger delivered a decent accent in Bridget Jones’ Diary. Jess was correct - From Hell is about Jack the Ripper and is an excellent movie in my opinion and well worth a watch. Drag Me To Hell is a straight up horror movie I think, not sci-fi, and pretty decent from what I remember.

2024-11-15 19:01:54 +0000 UTCSome of those weren’t that bad, I would not have put Natalie Portman on that list myself. Number one should have been Dick Van Dyke and then Keanu imo. It’s not as if Americans can’t do convincing accents though, the comedy documentary This is Spinal Tap is a good one and if you haven’t seen it you should check it out. Frodo and Sam in Lord of the Rings are both American actors as you probably know and there’s a ton more than can be mentioned. However if you want a convincing accent played by an American then you should watch the British gangster film Snatch by Guy Ritchie, great film. Brad Pitt is in it and and does an accent that is way out of left field, I won’t spoil it for you if you haven’t seen it but you won’t understand a single word that comes out of his mouth which is actually the point, however the accent is spot on and a huge surprise considering who the actor is.
