There's too much they don't know about Essex/Sinister, his plans for Maddy and his capabilities...even if Emma agreed to Thad talking to various women he's bedded or offered to bed to get X-Men, Brotherhood of Mutants, F4, and Avengers help, they don't know if that would be enough. Unless Thad offers a massive orgy to further super-charge various powers and abilities, I mean... 😜

Maybe a quick romp in the sheets with both women for a quick boost wouldn't hurt. Though luck for Madelyne who was probably looking forward to a romantic love making session rather than a quickie, but in the end the best option is to deal with him now rather than later.
