To set the scene: You are just waking up to this voicemail that your girlfriend left you at 4am. She is a singer and is on tour. She has only been gone one night, but is starting to question how well a long distance relationship is going to work if communication is not strong.

Note from Lacey: I am so sorry, I thought I posted this last week! My apologies!! To anyone new, this voicemail series is recorded on my personal cell phone to try to make it sound as much like a real voice mail as possible (basically it is not as crisp and clear as my nice mic, but that is on purpose :) ). On a another note, I just moved into a new place this week and am working on getting my recording gear set up still. I got really sick just before my move so things are slower going than I'd hoped but I'm getting there. There is a big dresser inside of the bedroom closet for some reason too haha, and that is where I plan to record - I talked to the landlord about helping me move it, so hopefully that happens tomorrow. Otherwise I really love it here though! It is amazing to have privacy, and once I'm set up I'll be recording at any hour I'd like! (not just at 1am when everyone has gone to sleep lol).
