As one of the few people who hadn’t swapped with anyone, dealing with a world where everyone else was could be really difficult. The hardest part was that his wife, Mei, was still technically missing, which meant that the body she was now in had yet to be found. Of course, her body was completely fine, with the mind of Gerry’s friend, Carl, inside of it.
Carl insisted on keeping Gerry company until his wife returned. In many ways, Gerry wish he didn’t. However, it was hard for Gerry to turn away Carl’s good will. Plus, Carl could benefit from being close to Mei’s wardrobe, not that he ever seemed to wear much of it. Carl spent most of his time lounging about in nothing more than underwear. He’d pick up a video game and beg for Gerry to “play with him.” Gerry had to keep telling himself that it wasn’t actually Mei doing these things, but it was still all so very weird!
