Chapter 13: Father!
Flashback Scene Ahead
Uzu no Kuni
The Village Hidden in the Eddies, known as Uzushiogakure, was situated in the Land of Whirlpools (Uzu no Kuni). Once a vibrant and thriving community, it has now become a desolate site, serving as the final resting place for the once-mighty Uzumaki clan.
"I should have arrived here earlier," Naruto remarked, gazing at the remains of what he believed were his fallen clan members. They had not received a proper burial even after all this time. "Why hasn't Konoha made the effort to give them a dignified resting place?"
Naruto found himself grappling with troubling thoughts; he questioned whether the Leaf Village even held any concern for the Whirlpool Village. From his perspective, it seemed they didn't. The blonde Uzumaki reflected on his memories of the Leaf Village and began to doubt if the Third Hokage truly cared about him or if he was merely pretending to, in order to maintain control over the village's Jinchuriki.
The Land of Whirlpools, as its name implies, is encircled by whirlpools with only a single route for entry or exit, and even that requires a proficient navigator. The route leading to the Uzumaki clan's residence was kept confidential, known only to a handful of individuals outside the clan. So, how did the Stone and Mist village forces find out about it? Were they betrayed?
"Not that it makes a difference anymore; the third Hokage is gone, and I'm strong enough that no one can control me," Naruto muttered to himself while strolling through the Uzumaki village. He noticed the remains of what appeared to be ninjas from the Hidden Stone and Mist villages, judging by their headbands and attire. "At least my clan managed to take down as many foes as they could."
"Shadow Clone Jutsu," Naruto declared, forming a cross seal, and instantly, more than a hundred clones materialized. Each clone understood their purpose without needing to be told and quickly set to work, preparing to give the Uzumaki a dignified burial while also disposing of the enemy ninja's remains in the ocean—though not before rifling through their belongings.
Naruto teamed up with his clones to create graves for his deceased clan. As he stood before the headstones, he offered a quiet prayer, sensing a shift in the island's atmosphere, knowing that its residents could finally find peace.
"It’s time to focus on why I'm really here," Naruto thought as he opened his hand to reveal the karma seal, which appeared as a dark diamond shape. "I can hold Momoshiki back by utilizing Sage Mode and Kurama's chakra."
His Mindscape typically resembles a sewer featuring a large cage where Kurama is kept. However, there is a section of his mind that Momoshiki has claimed, which stands out from the rest by resembling a devastated world, save for a massive tree and a sky dotted with stars.
Naruto couldn't help but smirk as he knew Momoshiki is furious at the fact that he was having such a hard time taking his body but sadly for the alien parasite it was about to get worse.
The Karma seal is jutsu an advance sealing technique that stores the genetic information and soul of a Otsutsuki clan member so in theory another powerful Sealing Technique should be about to counter it.
"It's either that or I'll need to figure out how to eliminate that parasitic soul without harming myself," Naruto said, making his way to the center of the ruined village, believing he was headed toward the clan's main building. "If it comes down to it, I'll resort to the Reaper Death Seal and take the Otsutsuki along with me."
Naruto knew that if Momoshiki was to ever take his body the this world and many others will be doomed, the clones Naruto created earlier was searching for anything left behind even though the chances are slim, the stone and mist ninja would have taken anything of worth.

DC Universe
Uninhabited Island

Naruto gazed at Barbara with an incredulous look. He realized it was now or never; he needed to inform the redhead about his plans before she discovered them through another source, which could jeopardize the connection they had built. He simply didn't want to hide anything from her.
The women residing with him have kept things from Barbara and Raven to a certain degree, leading him to believe that the redhead, being Batman’s sidekick, probably has her suspicions since she has quite the knack for detection herself.
"You’re aware I’ve been working on things discreetly, aren’t you?" Naruto said, gazing into the redhead's eyes. She was in her usual swimsuit, clearly trying to entice him, and if he were honest, it was effective. "I also know you’ve been rummaging through my room for clues while I’m not around."
Barbara had the decency to appear embarrassed when caught, but both she and Naruto understood that she felt no remorse for her actions. Unbeknownst to Naruto, Barbara not only entered his room to gather information but also took the opportunity to use his bed, which carried his scent, for her own pleasure.
"I have no idea what you mean," Barbara replied with a serious expression, but her flushed cheeks betrayed her. Still, she was determined not to confess, so for the moment, she would just keep denying everything.
"That's funny, especially considering my heightened senses allow me to pick up on your scent all over my bed," Naruto said, trying to hold back a blush at the unexpected surprise of returning to find Barbara's fragrance lingering in his room. He could easily picture what had happened. "I'm not upset or anything; I just want us to be open with each other. Can you promise me that?"
Barbara reflected on Naruto's words and realized that she also desired to be truthful with him; she longed for a deeper connection between them.
"Yes, I was simply intrigued by what you were keeping to yourself. I apologize for overstepping your boundaries," Barbara said, openly acknowledging her actions.
"Sure, I don't mind if you come into my room," Naruto remarked, glancing at Barbara, who appeared puzzled. Normally, people would be upset or offended by a breach of privacy. "I'm a ninja, after all. We often sneak in and gather intel by any means necessary, so I see this as just a part of your training."
Barbara nodded; while she didn't fully grasp everything, she recognized that Naruto was a ninja from another dimension with a different perspective and moral framework. She began to appreciate his way of thinking. However, she was oblivious to the fact that Naruto would never keep sensitive information in obvious or easily accessible places. Ironically, he had chosen to hide his secrets in a sealing scroll inside Barbara's room, aware that it was the least expected location.
"I'm going to be straightforward," Naruto declared while considering different approaches to inform Barbara about his secret plans, ultimately deciding that being direct was the most effective method. "I'm putting together a government-approved team of heroes to take on tasks that the Justice League won't handle."
"What will your team accomplish that the Justice League won't?" Barbara inquired, her curiosity piqued. She was aware that Naruto's relationship with the league was strained, and it extended beyond just the incident with the Joker. His approach often conflicted with the league's principles of avoiding lethal force and minimizing harm to villains—principles that even Batman adheres to. While Batman may leave his adversaries injured, they rarely spend more than a week in the hospital. In contrast, Naruto tends to send villains to the ICU, and some never fully bounce back from their encounters.
"I’m putting together a team of exceptionally talented individuals with unique powers to apprehend the most dangerous criminals and ensure they end up in a prison from which they cannot escape," Naruto stated earnestly. "Figures like Batman have used their wealth to prevent villains like the Joker from facing the death penalty, and even Superman has been complicit to some degree. My team, in collaboration with the government, aims to undo the harm caused by the Justice League's attempts to enforce their vision of justice on society."
"What?" Barbara gasped, her eyes widening in disbelief. She had anticipated various outcomes, but this was beyond anything she could have imagined. "This is wild! You actually want to challenge the league?"
Barbara understood that challenging the Justice League was a reckless move. While they wouldn't intentionally take a life, their roster included formidable heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, and others. This impressive lineup possessed the power to dominate the universe and could even pose a serious threat to deities like Darkseid. What could Naruto possibly be thinking?
"Absolutely, I'm planning to assemble a team that can confront villains and, if necessary, ensure that the league remains accountable. I would love for you to be a part of it," Naruto expressed. He realized it was important to share with Barbara one key aspect that set his team apart from the League: "My team will have the authority to use lethal force when required, and the government will back us on that."
“Deadly force,” Barbara uttered the phrase as if it were something entirely unfamiliar to her. It truly was, leaving her speechless as she stared at Naruto, as if he had lost his mind.
"Of course, we can resort to lethal force if needed," Naruto stated softly, placing a hand on Barbara's shoulder. She recoiled at his touch, prompting a look of sadness from the Uzumaki. Sensing the need for a different approach, he continued, "Barbara, have you considered what Doctor Light will do once he's released or escapes from prison?"
Naruto felt a wave of guilt for mentioning Doctor Light, especially when he noticed Barbara becoming quiet and withdrawing, almost as if trying to make herself invisible to a threat. In that moment, the Uzumaki knew the best thing he could do for the red-haired heroine was to embrace her. Even though she trembled in fear at his touch, he understood that she was still carrying deep trauma, and he wanted to offer her the support she needed.
Barbara was fully aware of what the doctor would do if he were released; he would continue his murderous spree. The redhead had conducted thorough research on the criminal and was familiar with his heinous acts. He had assaulted and murdered women, then preserved their bodies in freezers to prevent decomposition, allowing him to relive his actions and experience the thrill over and over.
Barbara trembled at the thought of nearly experiencing that horrific outcome; she understood that she would never be the same. The memory of Doctor Light looming over her, ready to violate her vulnerable body, haunted her. As Naruto held her, she shivered, finding comfort in his gentle touch as he rubbed her back and spoke soothingly to her.
"I understand that you're still coming to terms with what you've been through, but you're safe now. I promise I won't allow anyone to harm you again," Naruto said without thinking, causing Barbara to begin to relax.
"You must be either an idiot or attempting to charm me," Barbara joked. Over time, she realized that Naruto wasn't really trying to woo her; it was just his personality. Still, his words made her heart race and her cheeks warm. "Why did you want me on your team? You already have two Kryptonians, Tamaraneans, and even Raven is more valuable than I am."
"I really want you on my team because I believe you would bring a lot of value. Having trained under Batman, you possess solid detective abilities, and I trust you can keep us grounded if we ever stray from our principles," Naruto said sincerely. As a ninja from another dimension, he recognized that having a regular human—despite her having chakra like him—would be beneficial, especially with most of the team being aliens or part demon. "So, what do you say? Will you join us?"
With a heavy sigh, Barbara confessed, "I can see your perspective, but you're asking me to turn my back on everything and everyone I care about. What is it really for?" She leaned into Naruto’s embrace, eager to hear his reasoning and what he could say to sway her.
"You aren't betraying anyone, even if some people might think otherwise. Our goal is to safeguard everyone from the criminals the League sends to prison, who repeatedly escape and continue to harm innocent lives," Naruto stated firmly. Barbara listened intently; she had already decided what her next move would be, but she needed an additional catalyst to inspire her to take that leap of faith.
Barbara took a moment to gather her thoughts before speaking to Naruto. "You know, I'm not as traumatized as you might think. Sure, the memories of nearly being assaulted by Doctor Light still linger, but I can usually be around men without any issues," she said, glancing up at him while still in his embrace. "In fact, I've even kissed Dick a few times and went a bit further after a mission." She noticed a flicker of annoyance and jealousy on Naruto's face, just as she anticipated. "I'm planning to lose my virginity to Dick soon, and after that, I’m not sure I can continue with your team. I wouldn’t want to betray my boyfriend."
Barbara said all of that to playfully provoke Naruto and gauge his response. She never anticipated being kissed on the lips so assertively that it made her toes tingle and her green eyes almost roll back in her head.
As the kiss ended, Barbara was panting, her underwear drenched, and her nipples were so firm they could pierce diamonds. She gazed into Naruto's eyes and saw a mix of intense desire and perhaps love. They both understood what was about to unfold, and the redhead was filled with joy.
Fast Forward
Metropolis Prison
"Are you certain of this decision, Kage?" the prison warden inquired as he, along with two guards, made their way to a solitary cell located deep within the facility. "She poses a threat."
The Warden is an older gentleman with a clean-shaven face and white hair, dressed in uniform. Accompanying him are two strong guards, one of whom is black and the other white.
"I'm telling you, Ace is just a child, even if she possesses a formidable ability; she doesn’t deserve to be locked up here," Naruto said as they approached an elevator, their were two more guards stationed in from of it.
Naruto approached a judge on behalf of Ace to secure her release from Metropolis prison, which housed some of the most dangerous supervillains Superman has ever encountered. Since Ace is a minor, it made it easier for Naruto to have his request approved. The primary reason for Ace's imprisonment was that her abilities posed a threat to the public; if she didn't have powers, more than likely she would have been sent to a juvenile detention center instead of prison.
"This is where we stop," the Warden remarked, passing Naruto the keys to Ace's cell. "This key will unlock her door, and we'll be monitoring from this location to ensure everything goes smoothly."
Naruto grabbed the key and stepped into the elevator, which was designed to go straight down. When the elevator came to a halt and the doors slid open, Naruto sensed an attempt to invade his thoughts and recognized it was Ace.
"You must be feeling really angry and frightened at the moment," Naruto remarked as he emitted a surge of his chakra, severing the connection from his mind and halting Ace's attack. "But I came here to talk to you."

Naruto approached a door that had a small window at the top. He leaned in to take a look and saw Ace in a padded room, sitting with her head resting on her knees and her arms wrapped around them.
The Uzumaki understood Ace's emotions without needing to ask, as they had experienced similar feelings before. She was filled with fear and resentment towards a world that had both exploited and cast her aside.
"Hello there, young lady. I’ve come to present a proposal to you," Naruto said as he entered the room. He approached Ace, who lifted her gaze and stared at him blankly. As he drew nearer, the intensity of her mental assaults intensified, causing him to relive some of his most painful memories, but he pushed those thoughts aside until he stood directly in front of the dark-haired girl. "Your abilities are remarkably powerful."
The girl with dark hair locked eyes with Naruto, who mirrored her gaze. The staring match ended when Ace looked away, causing Naruto to grin in a way that clearly irritated her.
In a flat tone, Ace asked, "What is it that you seek? Do you intend to exploit me like the others or conduct tests to understand my abilities?"
Throughout her life, Ace has noticed that the interest people show in her is primarily linked to her abilities. They either want to learn how her powers function in order to mimic them, or they seek to exploit her talents, much like the villains she has aligned herself with.
"No," Naruto answered as he sat opposite the young woman, surprising her with his next words. "I want to adopt you, I can be like a older brother figure."
"What?" Ace cried out, her feelings evident in her expression and tone. "Why?" was the question on her mind, but it carried a deeper significance. Why would he want to take in someone as flawed as her, a criminal unable to even manage her own abilities?
"We have some similarities, you and I. We possess abilities that others are afraid of and wish to exploit for their own benefit," Naruto remarked, gazing into Ace's eyes. He noticed her pain but believed he could assist her. "I sense that you're feeling isolated and could use someone to confide in."
"So you expect me to trust you, a complete stranger, just because you say we have something in common?" Ace said, her voice rising slightly. She was fed up with being taken advantage of and wanted it all to stop. "You don't know anything about me, and I can't put my faith in anyone."
Naruto smiled and raised his fist, saying, "I know my words might not be enough for you to trust me, so let's do a fist bump. I'll show you what's in my heart." He realized it sounded a bit corny, but he believed this was the quickest way to gain Ace's trust.
Ace observed Naruto with skepticism and gradually reached out her fist, uncertain of the intentions of the unusual blonde man. Despite her reservations, she decided to fist bump with him.
The moment their fists collided, the impact was immediate. Ace experienced a rush of memories: from Naruto's birth to the loss of his parents, the prejudice he faced throughout his life, and the challenges and victories he encountered, culminating in the present moment as he stood before her.
When Ace regained her senses, she noticed Naruto gazing at her with concern. She realized she had been lying on her back for an unknown period, suggesting that something unforeseen had occurred. It seemed her psychic abilities had intensified the impact of the ninshu, a term she recognized from Naruto's memories.
"Are you alright?" Naruto inquired, concern evident in his voice. He mentally scolded himself for not considering Ace's psychic powers when he utilized his ninshu. "Is anything bothering you?"
"I'm okay," Ace replied as she sat up and gazed at Naruto. It felt as though she had known him forever; he was more than just a friend to her. She could easily assign him a new title in her life, especially since he wanted to adopt her and provide her with a home. "When do we leave, Dad?"
Naruto's thoughts paused at Ace's remark; while he had agreed to adopt her, he never imagined he could take on the role of her father. Now, hearing her refer to him as such left him speechless, staring at the dark-haired girl in disbelief as a gentle smile spread across her face.
