Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

agree 100%. And im not claiming i was super insightful, but i remember having those same thoughts during the airing of Breaking Bad.

Nice, I never noticed that connection. Very clever. Love it!

I'll wait to the end of the show to give my opinion on the hanging of the suit and tie. I think a lot of others will too.

Spartan is right. This episode and honestly this whole series makes it so Jimmy McGill seems to be the main character of the whole BB universe. Because his actions and his addiction to the game are what put Walt on his bad choice road.

In the scene with Walt and Jessie when the RV gets stuck , Saul says something like: are you gonna get me back to my office or are they gonna find us years from now buried in sand. I’ve always thought this was an allusion to the Ozymandias episode of BB named after the poem with the same name about the legs of a great statute found in the sand.

I thought it was funny when Gene said to Marion when she was watching YouTube videos "you could have your own funniest videos show someday." This is a nod to Carol Burnett who plays Marion who used to have a comedy/variety show back in the 70s. I was a kid, but she had some pretty good comedians and actors on it. They also did skits a la SNL style. Nothing much to say about the full on BCS/BB and Gene slips even farther. I believe this episode was almost 10 years after BB. Jesse definitely sounds older.

In the last episode, I think Saul leaving the shirt and tie was like a calling card, or “Saul was here” … which can also mean at least subconsciously, Saul is back.

One thing I always find really funny/clever about this episode and title is the episode "Breaking Bad" in the show Better Call Saul takes place at the same time as the episode "Better Call Saul" in Breaking Bad. Also we really gotta appreciate how the writing team turned the throw away, joke lines from Breaking Bad "no it wasn't me it was Ingacio! He's the one!" "What, Lalo didn't send you? No Lalo?" Into two of the most compelling characters in TV history. Kuby is Bill Burr's character from Breaking Bad btw

two episodes left? :(

That was Walt’s car, it’s in the disabled spot because Walt Jr is disabled and Walt drives him to school Jesse’s car at the border is a decoy, if you remember in El Camino Skinny Pete and Badger swap cars and badger drives the car down to the Mexico USA border to make the police think Jesse escaped to Mexico when in reality Jesse is in Alaska. Skylar’s deal was immunity not money, they could have charged for some serious crimes, but the combination of Walt’s phone call where he made it seem like he threatened her and bullied her into laundering the money, plus the information (Hank and Gomez’ bodies location) he gave her in the final episode breaking bad allowed her to get immunity

RE the shirt At this point of the show the big question is - has jimmy just been addicted to being Saul throughout his life OR did ‘jimmy’ ever exist at all?

Kuby is the one played by Bill Burr

Good pickup by Spartan at the start to point out that Saul made his debut in an episode title after his show, just like Walt and Jessie appeared in his show in an episode titled after their series. Few other things to note: - Saul going to Walt’s school takes place mere seconds before he offers his services to Walt in BB for the first time. - In the Breaking Bad timeline, this episode takes place before Walt and Jessie get stuck in the desert due to the RV breaking down. This is foreshadowed here, as Walt struggles to fire up the engine. - Mike is a badass, he figured out Heisenberg’s real identity long before the DEA with all their shenanigans. - This episode showed that Saul is the main character of this universe. Without him, Walt wouldn’t have made it as far as he did. He saw something in Walt that reminded him of himself, a man who was often overlooked and tried to make a living the right way, but through various circumstances ended up turning to a life of crime, where he actually excelled at what he did.
