*ARMY GOLD* - Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS (updated version) REACTION!!

We barely made it a minute into this video before JK snatched our souls...for the 495,348,537,945th time 😇🫠🥵

This video was FANTASTIC and made us appreciate JK as BTS's main vocalist even more than we already did (if that’s even possible). The listing of songs he’s credited for vocally (excluding primary vocals) was mind-blowing, and that snippet from episode 150 of RUN BTS was SCARY.

We truly appreciate your love and support. Your ARMY GOLD subscription allows us to produce higher-quality reaction videos, and moves us closer to our goal of doing this full-time! Let us know if you have any questions, feedback, thoughts, etc. at any time! BORAHAE!! 💜💜

17:32 The “chorus” credit in album credits doesn’t always mean the section labeled “chorus” in the song structure (like verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, etc.). It usually refers to who recorded the dominant vocal layers, including lead vocals, harmonies, and overdubs that shape the song’s main hook. JK is often credited because he records the primary vocal layers, even when other members also sing in that section. His voice is often used as the foundation, either as the lead melody, harmony, or blended background layer. Even if other members take turns singing different choruses, JK’s voice is often layered underneath for consistency and fullness. Producers sometimes record multiple takes of his vocals and stack them to create a richer sound, even when other members sing on top. Not every vocal gets individually credited. Some members may sing parts of the chorus, but unless their contribution is significant in terms of layering or vocal production, they might not be specifically credited. In many BTS songs, even if Jimin, V or Jin sings the chorus at some points, Jungkook still provides harmonies, or layering, or the main voice, which is why he gets so many credits and is called as the glue or foundation of BTS songs. Gang vocals refer to a group of people singing or shouting the same line in unison to create a big, energetic effect. For example for chants or to sound like a crowd is singing.

I’m so happy you finally watched this video. 💜 What hurts me most is when people discredit his position, even though all the members - and JK himself - have emphasized how important it is to both him and the group. Some argue that he’s the main vocalist just because he sings in the middle range or has stable live vocals, but those aren’t the main reasons (as confirmed by people who’ve worked with him). His position comes from his incredible vocal versatility, deep musical understanding, and technical skill. I’ve seen people discredit him, assuming that high notes alone define a great vocalist, but that’s only one part of the equation. His wide vocal range (confirmed by producers like Sleep Deez and Andrew Watt) allows him to move effortlessly between low, mid, and high registers. He doesn’t just sing melodies, he also fills in harmonies and layers multiple vocal parts, making BTS’s songs sound fuller and more melodic. In stripped-down versions, you can hear how his voice is used as layers and is all over BTS records. JK also has an exceptional ear for harmonies and ad-libs. He instinctively knows where to add details that elevate a song without overpowering other members. His impeccable control allows him to sustain long notes, hit difficult phrases with ease, and switch vocal techniques smoothly. Whether leading a chorus or providing background vocals, he adapts effortlessly. His stamina and control are unmatched. He sings difficult lines while performing intense choreography, all while maintaining stability and tone quality. Beyond technique, his expressiveness and vocal color give BTS’s music a warmth that make their sound even more “digestible” and blends all their voices together. Being the main vocalist isn’t just about singing in the middle range or hitting high notes. It’s about being the most well-rounded, versatile and reliable singer in the group. Some people claim his voice is “bland,” but let’s not forget how everyone instantly recognized his voice in the Coca-Cola commercial. His tone is distinct, warm, and recognizable for a reason. Calling him the main vocalist doesn’t take anything away from the other members. It simply acknowledges his talent, hard work, consistency, reliability, and all-around vocal excellence.
