RM - “Change” | Reaction & Analysis (Music Video, Lyrics, Interviews + MORE!)

ARMY, when you told us (many months ago) that Wale and RM collaborated on a song together called “Change,” we immediately marked it down on our list. Wale is one of our all-time favorite American hip-hop artists.

And then recently, when we saw a track titled “Change Pt. 2” on the track list for RM’s forthcoming “Indigo” album, we knew now was the time to dig into “Change.” THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR DIRECTING US HERE!

“Change” is a progressive, politically engaged song that challenges similar problems of both Eastern and Western cultures, such as lack of faith in government, failing education system, racism and cyberbullying.”

The wordplay, symbolism, references, melodies, respect…RM and Wale DELIVERED on this song!

🎵”What should we tell our sons? You know that they will be the men, like you and me.”🎵

DETOUR ALERT: 학교의눈물 (School of Tears)! 🤯

UPCOMING REACTIONS (in no particular order):

RM - “Change” | Reaction & Analysis (Music Video, Lyrics, Interviews + MORE!)

Comments

I didn't see if you ever went back to School of Tears but there is an actual official mv for it. (no sub) https://youtu.be/Sby_6W_I0dQ?si=EkoXHcLmA6Hsg2Xo

The Collaboration of RM and Wale was magical. I don't think Sway swept Wale's statements about RM under the rug. In fact when Wale made his statements, Sway kept repeating RM's name as if he was going to look him up once the interview was over. No one thinks like RM. He's a lyrical genius. Thanks for this reaction. I really enjoyed it.

Joon, I’m the Man too Namjoon N-A-M -> m-a-n The more we dig into the lyrics and the more slap I get. Indigo is chef’s chef kiss. The only directive of Kim Namjoon is read the lyrics Please watch suchwita episode 1 Change was my first iTunes purchase

Miss Heju

I loved Change. And still pissed how some ahole fans messed with Wale so that he cancelled another collab with Joonbug.

Karla24.wintaebear

cannot wait for u to catch up on joon’s stuff! indigo was so unexpected (in only a pleasant way ofc this is namjoon we are talking abt!!) in its sound but throughout there were definitely lyrics reminiscent of his previous works (mono, persona, older bts songs from their earlier days etc). whether that being a continuation or a response reflecting growth; it still felt so namjoon! i’m so proud of him in how he sticks to staying honest, no matter how vulnerable he has to get. (in one of his recent interviews he talked abt the importance of this as an artist, even if it’s not an easy thing to do.) no one is touching this man’s pen game. you can absolutely tell that this project was spread over the years and took time to be crafted, feelings not stagnant to only one specific time frame. there is clear progression throughout. change pt 2 was such a surprise first listen in (namjoon said it was a drunk demo recording lol), but i loved that it threw so many ppl off because it just goes to show how many music styles each member have yet to explore and demolish!! how you think you’ve got them pinned down and then they show a side you couldn’t ever have foreseen. always keeping us on our toes and never afraid to dip into places not yet touched before. i feel so in awe that jack in the box and indigo have been completely different to not only each other but also to bts as a group. there’s so much individuality to celebrate in this era, and it’s a time where they can prove to themselves that they alone are enough to achieve what they want to, and that they alone deserve to do so. honestly i think it’s something they need to see for themselves; before 2025 comes, especially namjoon. how far he can go, how far he already has. i hope the response to this album shows him he is enough/valued as both a human and an artist. still, both jack in the box and indigo are similar in that they say what joon and hobi need to let out. these are albums full of statements! i feel honoured they thought we are worthy to hear such intimate parts of themselves.

a.

Looking forward to Mono reactions. I liked Change pt.2. It's going to be en exciting month. Just like Wale I wish other rappers and hip hop singers that's won't give BTS the time of day would come with an open mind and give it a listen to their amazing minds.

Kirssy Mago

I think it would work great if they listen to one song first then watch the explanation for the song from this video, like they did with Jack in the Box ☺️

soyaspinsxxx

im so excited for the rm indigo album reaction, it’s SO good, shows a different side of Rm, honestly his lyrics felt like the real raw version of himself, so excited !!

sophia٩(^‿^)۶

Change pt.2 has nothing to do with this one but it is one of my favorite songs on Indigo. Mono is amazing, to me Mono feels like you’ve locked yourself in a dark room your whole life, but this album instead of forcing the door open, RM sits with you in the dark room, holds your hand and tells you “You’re not alone” until you feel like you can open the door yourself.

TBake95

RM did a tiny desk performance. I highly recommend it.

Alrine Novianda

Hey J+J! Back to comment again lol😂 whenever you react to indigo, RM released a “Rm indigo album magazine film”. It’s about 41mins long, but he talks about the processes and thoughts he put in his album. Featuring artists and producers are also in the video aswell. Overall, this short film made me appreciate RM even more, his thinking process is so beautiful and creative, and you can see the amount of love and hard work he had put into his album. I cannot tell you how inspiring it was, I actually picked up a camera for the first time and took photos of random places which made me truly admire the small things around us. While you don’t have to record a reaction, I think you’d appreciate this short film and hopefully check it out. Link: https://youtu.be/lRy8OYhLO-A

Aleetha

Surprise OT7 reaction hmmm… my guess is ON or Baepsae. But I’d love to hear a reaction to HOME hehehe! When you guys talk about Cypher 4 and Ddaeng as hits you could hear on the radio, but aren’t due to it being in Korean, I feel the same way about HOME. If the lyrics were in all English, that is easily a radio/streaming hit in America. Also I saw you guys having a hard time deciding how to go about RMs material. I feel like he’ll be promoting Indigo for possibly the whole month. Looks like lots more content will be coming out, if that has any effect on how you approach your upcoming reactions. But IMO, go about things as you want or feels right. Sometimes it helps to have ARMY guidance, but sometimes an organic journey is just as good. My journey has definitely not been conventional, but everyday i would discover a new and pleasant surprise from BTS.

Selina T

Im so excited for you guys to react to Mono- I just love it so much. The first listen changed my view of RM. Not from any bad place, but it made me feel a bit closer to him lyrically. Seoul was unlike anything I'd felt from RM, almost a new vibe I got from him. I believe that you'll both enjoy it and appreciate it not just as ARMY, but as humans who feel those same feelings he raps about just as we all do

Jules LeAnn

Hi guys. I really loved this reaction. It was so cool and insightful because I actually learn a few new things like how the colab came about and a few other things. I’ve been army for about 2 years. I was first introduced to them when they performed Dynamite on the 2020 VMA Awards. I’ve never heard of them before that. Immediately after watching that performance I wanted to learn more about them so I liked them up. Start with one video and another then another one. I couldn’t get enough especially learning how hard they had to work to get where they are today. It was enduring to see their story and all their hardships that they endured and still due at times. A true underdog story. Needless to say I went down the BTS rabbit hole very fast and never left. They truly do always bring a smile to my face and bring so much happiness in my life. I was blessed to be able to attend the last two concert days in Vegas. I never thought I would be that person to cry in a concert just because I’m seeing an artist but I was. It was tears of pure happiness and great-fullness. Okay I think I’ve rambled too much again. As always, thank you both for the great reaction. I look forward to watching the upcoming ones. Have a great weekend boys. Love from an Army. 💜

Rheichel Tormis

Ahhhh, we cannot wait to get to it!!!

BTS - Jared & Jordan

Guys...i think Indigo it's nothing that you had waiting for.... Namjoon it's showing a completely new side of him as an artist... i personally LOVE IT!❤️‍🩹

Nanjareth

I hope you guys react to this immediately, RM with his live band: RM of BTS: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert https://youtu.be/CKg3FV5gwMc

Alrine Novianda

Ok watched all the way through and I’m glad you’ll circle back to school of tears at some point but first; Change pt2 is great, you’re going to love it, and Change I’ve always enjoyed but damn you made me love it for real with this reaction. I have a lot of time for Wale, when investigating modern US hiphop (I had some time off when I lived in South America) he immediately impressed me as someone with real passion for music and lyrics. I liked this collab with RM but hadn’t gone into lyrics etc so this was a lovely welcome deep dive where I learned so much and added Change to my playlist in the middle 😂 this is why I enjoy reactions; as a lil army out here in Scotland by myself I don’t get to interact with others when I enjoy BTS content so it’s a little like sitting down with friends and being inspired anew. Love it! Thanks as ever guys. So looking forward to you reacting to Indigo (made me cry, laugh and swoon!) and everything else you have planned for December with Jin and V’s bdays. It was my bday on 1st and a friend sent me unexpected cash so I scurried straight off to buy Indigo, Jack in the Box and map of the soul 7 (my fav BTS album) so I shall soon be the proud owner of physical music to hold in my hands. Happy December y’all! 💜

Aylaᴿᵖʷᵖ

OMG I wrote to you a while back about school of tears so I’m stepping out of the video to just howl YES! Thanks! The video is great too but I’m so glad you’ve finally heard it 💜

Aylaᴿᵖʷᵖ

Anyone else been playing “Seoul” back to back with “Indigo”?

einna

I didn’t know that

Miss Heju

I felt every emotional from the very first time hearing it- 💜. Both vocals are just ...beautifully combined and the MV is visually stunning.

Biljana Monteleone

Indigo .., its an art

Koya7

please if you guys react to indigo please add the tiny desk concert he explains so much of his music and also watch the zach sang interview. :)

cysounds

You guys are gonna LOVE Indigo! Borahae 💜

PiedPiper613

as much as i get ur excitement because this is probably so many ppls fav track already, it’ll sound even better if it’s listened to in order, like namjoon said. going through the entire tracklist one by one till u reach wild flower will only make it hit harder!

a.

Indigo is such a masterpiece, my new favorite album of Nam! He’s grown so much as a person, and as an artist. His music always feels like a good, vulnerable chat with a friend. Hope you love it as much as I do

lou marquez

I agree with you! All the member expressed how they felt at the time at some extent, but rm literally put his heart, fears and tears out! that made indigo much more special to me. seeing, hearing and reading his lyrics hit me so deeper than i thought it would

Ida

I saw someone leave this as a comment and I agree so I wanted to leave my own! I think sometime soon you guys should watch Festa 2022. It was such an important video when it came out because it addressed fears and anxiety about the future. It is an emotionally charged video but I think you guys should watch it to understand where Bangtan is today. Like for example, Wildflower by RM has so much more meaning for me, having watched Festa 2022 and knowing what they (especially RM) felt at such a pivotal time. Anyways I really hope you guys check it out soon and have a great day!!

Leena

I listened to Indigo in order, in one go, then watched the MV for Wild Flower. I laughed, I giggled, I cried, and felt an immense pride in the growth and artistic expression of RM. What an album to close out his 20s and fantastic way to leave us longing for his return. I think there's no 2 identical way to experience the same music. It all hits us differently so I always appreciate your insights and candid feedback. I don't have an explanation why the songs in this album hit me the way they did, but I guess that's the beauty of music. I know for sure that in your review video of Indigo, I'll be here, closing my eyes with you and just let the music incites all the emotions. If you're interested, here's a quick video of RM explaining the album and the meaning behind each song https://youtu.be/PzVaypOL6RA

Pommosaurus

Wild Flower came out at 6 am (my time zone) and so this morning I immediately watched the music video before going to work. And what can I say? I cried, too. And it came at just the right time! I had been struggling to fall asleep for two nights and sleeping badly at the thought of the difficult conversation I was supposed to have with my boss today. I was stressed and a bit agitated. But after hearing this song I immediately felt better. I thought to myself "think about what he went through...you can do it! It's not the end of the world," and indeed things went much better than I had anticipated. This song really contains the whole essence of RM. Also, I don't know if any other ARMY feel the same way as I do, but after hearing Wild Flower I think Jared & Jordan, after reacting to Mono, and before reacting to Indigo, should look at Festa 2022. Once you see what RM said there...Wild Flower's lyrics have a whole other effect. It really hits much harder.

Loredana⁷

it's just a comment, I don't think they meant anything by it. BE KIND.

Ash

I just love the respect that artists give to one another, it's just so heart warming to see and hear, no competition, no egos, just genuine love and respect towards each other and their works. On the other note: Can't wait for Baepsae. It's like a fan favorite, gets us too hype everytime! Haha

Sabrina K

I‘m glad you got to hear a collaboration between two artists you really love! Thank you for this reaction! I hope I‘m not going too far by mentioning that you guys look a little tired. Maybe it was just a lot of drinking and celebrating during the holidays. But I hope you‘re doing okay 💜 Change pt. 2 is awesome. My favorite of Indigo is Wild Flower. It just hits different 🥰

Kiki

Hi, are you from Bulgaria?

Miglena

i truly loved Mono but Indigo is just sth else .. and i just can not describe how Wild Flower made me feel today, i teared up, i cried, i vibed with it.. everything about it is perfect, true masterpiece 💜

D.

Soooo turns out change pt2 is nothing like change and I can't see the connection yet, but this was a great video! Change is one of the most underrated collabs in the bangtan discography, and the way Wale reached out so quickly when the boys were far from the superstars they are now.. It really makes me admire him. Indigo is an absolute masterpiece by the way. I've already cried to the title track Wild Flower so much, it's probably one of the most gorgeous, moving songs I've ever heard in my life. I'm so proud of Joon and can't wait for you guys to react to both mono and Indigo soon. I don't think you're ready for the emotional avalanche you're about to experience 😂🔜

soyaspinsxxx

Taking a quick break on my Wild Flower streaming to give YT a real reason to cut down the views 🫠 So I went here to go over this again as I wasn't able to leave a long comment earlier 😆 First of all, I do have a greater respect for the artists who collaborated with Bangtan in their earlier days (except for Jason Derulo, he got on my nerves) coz BTS didn't have that HUGE name then compared to how they are now. So I really, really like this Wale collab. He's so right about saying how incredibly talented RM is 🥹🤧💜 Another note- you'll definitely see in any of the members' solo shoot that they ALWAYS mention how much they miss the other members and that it's so lonely working alone. I can tell you that they are the ONLY Kpop group who has a bond like this! Other groups were made in an expectation that they will work solo some time in the future so they didn't have this much sepanx. LOVE LOVE the detour you made to School of Tears! I was laughing when you said "okay so this is only the rap line" uhhh guys, that's Jin in the middle 🤭😆 I think you've seen snippets of that in the Intro to the 7 members. It has an MV where you can only see their lips while rapping/singing, and I swear I will never stop drooling on those closeups 😩😭 Please feel free to make those short DETOURS from time to time. We enjoy that too! No need to deep dive all the time, it's great to check out and just hear their songs out of the blue 🥰💜 So thank you for this my FAVE brothers!! Eiii I am excited for your next vid-- that will drop Dec 4, Sunday in here and that's Jin's birthday already 🙌🥳🎉💜

J-Lee

ok please jared and jorden you have to react to wild flower right away it´s so amazing. and i want you to react to something new. you can always listen to mono after and then do rest of indigo after. my favorite song for RM

leat

The things you both sometimes focus on 🙄. Who cares who sang more and who less. Like really, it doesn't matter.

Miglena

21:55 you asked for more RM content lol well here ya go. P.D.D ft Warren G- https://youtu.be/rJC7WGrrbzU Interview for RM and Warren G- https://youtu.be/jbP3vbNtxNQ Mr Fantastic for the Fantastic 4 movie- https://youtu.be/R3AWPKqD68g BTS Testing RMS Patience- https://youtu.be/mlClw4q_W90 Seoul Town Road- https://youtu.be/FxInQ95Afmo Younha ft RM Winter Flower (personal fav *please dive into this one!*)- https://youtu.be/Jd9fZ55oiAc There are so many more, but I think this is enough for now 😂

crystine dills

We will probably not get a deep dive because Doolset is gonna take her time translating it and tbh I don’t blame her 😩 SO GOOD still I can’t wait for you guys listen to Wild Flower! 💜

Ubel

Guys, I think you really need to hurry up with Mono because Indigo is just a masterpiece.

Ralitsa Zheleva

Came back here after fully listening to Indigo and letting Joon's words sink in. He is a true lyrical genius. I just know you guys are gonna love this album! The vibe of every song is different and I really feel like you should just listen to this with your eyes closed the first time around to really really appreciate the actual music and the way it makes you feel. Then when you do your deep dive, it'll hit even harder because even without knowing what he is saying I can feel it through the music and I think that is one of the most amazing things music can do. I'm from Guam and there's is an interview/article that RM did for the album release. The journalist's name is Lenika Cruz and she did such an amazing job. The article is so well written and what RM said in the interview gives you some insight on how he wants you to perceive his album. Here's the link to the article, I think it's a really good read for after you listen to the album. https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2022/12/rm-bts-indigo-album/672307/ I can't wait for you to hear the album. I feel like Change Pt.2 is right up you guys' alley and you'll love it a lot. All in all, the album is amazing. RM worked so hard on it and you can hear it through the songs. My favorite thing about BTS is their vulnerability and the honesty they share with ARMY. This album is exactly that. Every song gives you goosebumps and knowing that this may be the last piece of art we get from Joonie for a while makes it even more raw and special. Side note: Please listen to this album in order. When you get to Wild Flower, there is a music video you can watch to really get yourself into the mood of the song. I cried when I first watched it. It was beautiful. Enjoy the album, can't wait to hear your thoughts, Borahae J and J 💜 update: Wild Flower and Change Pt.2 have been stuck in my head. I swear I know every single lyric at this point. There is soooo much content out about Indigo and I'm sure fellow ARMY have linked everything. We all work in collaboration under these ccomment sections, I feel 😂 Like one big team to get you guys as educated as possible and to keep you guys up to date with everything that's coming out. There is a TON to unpack with this album and so much content to see. I can't wait to see your reactions to it. Indigo is such a masterpiece. I'm obsessed with it and I can't wait for you guys to be obsessed too!

Tay

Just stopping by after having indigo on repeat because YES! Closer is my favourite but I definitely can't choose a second fav just yet because there are so many I like. Can't wait to see your reaction to this album and OMG I just saw that RM will be on Tiny desk later today as well!! Sooo much content has been released today. Sidenote: I would recommend listening to the album in full first before doing deep dives into the lyrics. There aren't any translations up on my streaming platform yet but having that listening experience without even knowing the lyrics really gives you the chance to appreciate the music. edit: Here's a video of RM explaining the album (similar to JHope's video, except no spoilers) that you can check out first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzVaypOL6RA And here is the full album from RM's Youtube music channel: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lnV6Uf8a9g0bz8D_m8rW2_z6bokxA_MR0 RM's Tiny Desk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKg3FV5gwMc RM's album explanation, Behind the scenes from the album cover shoot, performance of a few tracks + the Wildflower music video on weverse live - hopefully there are English subtitles by time you guys get to it. This may have to be a separate video reaction if you guys decide to get into it, it's 1 hour long: https://weverse.io/bts/live/3-108458696 Edit #2: RM drop another explanation video today and I would recommend reacting to this instead of the weverse live as it includes comments from all the artist involved. You can check this out after listening to the album & watching the music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRy8OYhLO-A&t=165s He also did an interview with Zach Sang which is one of BTS's fav interviewers over the years. He said the video version should be available by Monday, so that would be great content to react to if you're interested. Here is the audio version for now:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31lM1oU5Myg

Ash

i think its my favourite solo project overall, SO good

Delilah

Came back after listening to indigo. All I can say is wow. How hard it may be, please please please listen to mono first. I won’t spoil anything but let’s just say indigo had me hypnotised and staring outside the window for a good 20mins. (Also pls listen to indigo in order)

Aleetha

Now y’all gotta react to Indigo 😭

miki

Sending this right after listening to Indigo: You guys are going to LOVE this album 🥺 RM worked so hard and each and every song is a masterpiece. None of them have the same genre or feel and it's a little bit like a roller coaster! When you guys do get to Indigo, please please, pleaseeee listen to the album in order (watch Wild Flower MV when you get to the song in the album order!!) You won't be disappointed!! I personally think you guys will love [ Yun ] and [ Change Pt2 ], they're right up your alley! Make sure to bring some tissues along for [ Wild Flower ] and prepare yourself for the amazing vibes [ Closer ] and [ Hectic ] bring <3 Borahae!! Edit: There is also a live stream taking place at 03:00 AM EST (so, in about two hours and 15 minutes from when I'm sending this!!). If the stream is available after the album release, please watch that too, when you can! Namjoon talks about the album process, behind the scenes, and so much more <3

nicki

Oh gosh, I LOVE Change so much! Such an important message, RM and Wale are incredible!💜 Thank you both for these reactions! Stay safe, take care of your health and have a wonderful night. Just a side-note, but rewatching this after learning about Korea’s option on tattoos(Mostly the older generation, they typically see tattoos as a sign of a criminal/gang member) and then seeing the man with all the tattoos in the MV made me thing that this one of the many things that needs to change. No one should even be judged by their appearance/race/gender. It needs to change. I always interpreted “The tip of your tongue just glitter” as your words can be as sharp as a knife. Like how a knife can shine/glitter in the light.

DanielleM

I love this song!! it’s soooo underrated. I really hope they collab again

dae

Ah thank you for this one! Will watch this one later this weekend. Right now all my devices have been streaming dreamers and prepping for Indigo lol

Melie

Ps: we wouldn’t recommend colourcode lyrics video because they are mostly not accurate. And besides that they take the streams away from original content. Thank you once again 💜

Lourdes

Beautiful reaction once again!!! Just came here for a quick update or doolset Translator said : that she will try to have all the full translations for indigo on the website before Monday. I would recommend to wait till then to have a amazing album analysis experience. Link to reference: https://twitter.com/doolsetbangtan/status/1598537498564513792?s=46&t=-MLrq7qFDndigCIAq_IOpA

Lourdes

I appreciate you just the way you are. And it's worth the wait.

지순

I love the message and the colab💜 Thank you for reacting to this💜💜💜

justjhen

This was beautiful guys. This is actually the first time I hear this song. It contains some very deep lyrics. Wale and RM do rap and use word play in a very similar way. I really enjoyed this video since it was for me new and never before seen content. Thank you Jared and Jordan, much love 💜💜

Liz Torres

Change is one of my favorite RM Solo songs because the lyrics sadly apply to today's societal situations that we are currently in... as opposed to the time period from 5 years ago in every aspect of the word... it reminds me of the song "Where is the love" by Black Eyed Peas which to me has the same sort of message that Change does and still sadly applies to today's society issues....

BtsOT79798

MAD LOVE FOR THIS SONG. Most def a fav collab of mine. There is nothing more sexy than smart wordplay in lyrical prose. These two have it in ♠️'S. So fortunate to see you two react to this. Quick fyi RM is live on weverse tonight to discuss indigo after it drops. You two might wanna check it out. And we'll yes NPR tiny desk as well .. 🌌🖤💫 WE ARE GETTING FED ARMY. Tho I'm so cool with loads of RM content.. be mindful plz of JIN. he leaves soon. We army need Jin content. 😏🌌🖤💫 .. Thanks J&j. You made my eve. 🖤

Amani ○°●•7

Yay💜

viperine

Woah I had never seen that Wale interveiw before. No wonder he got so much love from army. If making music is his passion, if making music is still fun to him. Army would have been cheesing big time lol!

Rae Avilez

Hey guys loved the video as always. Change is a well done song and couldn’t agree more on some of the things you guys talked about, but if you like this one then you might like strange by Suga and Rm. Strange is from Suga’s solo album called D-2 which all the songs on there are really great as well, but strange it’s also a deep song. Hope to see you guys take a look at it soon but overall keep up the good work.

Erza

I love wale and this collab so much, I'm glad they went for a deeper song and not just a party song, not that I wouldn't want that too though. It's also so refreshing seeing a western artist, a respected one at that, talk about RM with respect and appreciate his talent. The amount of times I've seen artists mention BTS' numbers instead of their talent or music is a bit disappointing. I would expect artists to love music and not want a collab with BTS just for the numbers they can pull.

Katherine Cordero

Thanks for this! INDIGO is coming tomorrow. ARMY let's stream it and give love to our Joonie (I'm sure you guys will 🤭) 💜💜💜 Also, RM will be joining Zach Sang on his show tom 8pm ET

HershMarie✨?

Are we gonna have a week dedicated to Jin as well? I hope so 💜 love the RM reactions and can’t wait for Indigo!

Baylis

I thought about your statement about the moral obligation of artists. I don't necessarily agree with that, however I think that American radio stations and the western music industry does a great injustice to the listeners by not playing international music here in America or a record label having their artists collaborate more with foreign musicians. As an American you have to go actively looking for international music because it is so taboo to play a non English song on American radio. Sadly, we miss out on so many cultural and political thoughts and ideas by listening to music in a vacuum. We have very little exposure which is very strange since America is the most diverse nation on the planet. Imagine how many Sunday Bloody Sunday's are out there that we haven't heard because they are not in English.

Chris Augustine

I remember when I stumbled onto Change. I fell in deeper in love with RM as a result. This was before I was ARMY, before I really had listened to any BTS. I started with Agust D, added RM (due to Strange), found J-Hope, and from there ended up at BTS. Which is so funny since I really didn't like rap when I started. Change has been on my daily song list since I found it. It's got the music, the lyrics, the message, and both artists are so so talented.

itmfiddler

Mono changed my life. I discovered BTS shortly after my step-dad died unexpectedly from a heart attack. I was hurting and struggling to stay a float amidst a bad depressive spell. I loved the BTS songs I found, but when I heard Mono, that was it. The songs I heard made me realize it was okay to hurt, okay to struggle with my depression, so long as I kept fighting and I knew it would one day get better. Mono is my free therapy. It is what drew me to RM and he has been my bias since that day. RMs songs are inspiring, soothing, and even healing. They give me hope that not all is lost (see: everything goes) but that its okay to struggle and accept the feelings you currently face (see: forever rain). They inspire me to keep trying (see: Moonchild) and the entire album struck a chord with my identity as a person. Its hard to explain. But I am certain that you will find Mono as beautiful as I did and still do. That even if every song doesn't trigger an emotion, that at least one will resonate. Its a journey in and of itself and RM expected people to go through that Journey one song at a time from start to finish. A Playlist he called it, because each song gives a connected message and relates growth, healing, and a sense of hope and emotional security. A sense of empathy. Hope you guys like it! Can't wait until your reaction for Mono!!!!!!! 💜 Army Fighting 💪

Da Lantis

Change is one of those songs that will stay relevant year after year. I'm so glad you checked it out and what a surprise it was to see you react to School of Tears, that song is super underrated. I listened to all of BTS' pre-debut tracks on SoundCloud and when I tell you these are GOLD.

Alishea

Love your reaction! I love getting the BTS (behind the scenes) info it's good stuff! 💜

They did film scenes together for the MV, but likely they didn't film Wale's part of filming, because they'd have to get him to agree to be on the additional content and it likely would have had to go through legal/contracts and all that stuff. And yes, RM was the first to do solo projects - though Suga produced beats for other people in the underground before debut.

I agree with the person above! RM's weverse post is so touching and I would recommend reading it with Indigo!!

Leena

excited for both of you to finally listen to Mono! 💜 and when you get to Indigo, please read RM's weverse post about it (doolset's translation: https://twitter.com/doolsetbangtan/status/1598326824941019136?t=nlHnlJcxQBeFttyzHZ6eFg&s=19) Namjoon's words got me so emotional and my heart is already full just by reading his honest and sincere message to us. 😭💜 so excited for Indigo!!! 💥💥

for mono, get some tissues ready. that playlist has gotten me through the darkest times, saving my life again and again. every time i feel like i need a cry but can’t get the tears out, i just play mono and it’s like joon is sitting in the room with me just encouraging me to take it all out and reassuring me that everythingoes (😉). no album has done as much for me as mono has. I even have planned to get « moonchild » and « everythingoes » tattooed because those songs speak to me sooo much. hope you have fun in this little journey and good luck !!

LYLY

can only hear the audio :(

Barbara

Damn. This was great. Thank you for giving this song the deep dive it deserves. I really appreciate the attention to detail you both show every time you react to something new. Much love to you, brothers💜

I already liked this song, but now I have so much more respect for it and for Wale for "reaching across the aisle" to make it happen 💜

Namjoon's name means “the genius from South”. And he is!!!!!

What’s becoming more apparent is that individual each member is a talented consummate artist and that is why BTS is as phenomenal as it is. There is an ocean of talent in eachof them and it is magical serendipitous divine that they came together. I hope the reunite when military obligations are done. But in the meantime and foreverthere is each of them and the collective art of BTS to enjoy celebrate and cherish. 💜

If you can’t react to it that’s fine, but I hope you can at least watch it on your own!

Maria

Thank you for this reaction! I know there’s a lot of Namjoon context coming up that we’re thrilled for, but I hope you guys can also react to J hope performance in MAMA Awards from yesterday that was insanely massive and incredibly important as well!! You can find it on YouTube, he performed three songs More, Arson, and Future. You can also react to his speeches accepting the awards for himself and for the group as well. Overall it was a very special and important night for Bangtan and Army. 💜

Maria

Ahhh for once I'm semi-early to a reaction! Hahaha good morning everyone and Happy Indigo Day!!!!

Crystal

This is actually how I found BTS. I am from the DC area and have followed Wale for a long time and when this song was done and found RM and then BTS. Have been ARMY ever since. RM was my first bias and now I am OT7.

Krysten

I am so excited for this!! ever since the beginning 💜 Change pt 2 is produced by eAeon, and I'm never going to stop talking about my deep love for eAeon. I can't wait for this new song. eAeon can also be found on mono with Badbye, and Joon featured on eAeon's album Fragile with the song Don't.
