*ARMY GOLD* BTS Carpool Karaoke w/ James Corden | Twins First Reaction!

This was a fun and insightful reaction. I found myself singing, dancing, laughing, being in awe and shock and content. I remember the first time I seen the controversy interview... I noticed he didn't exactly apologize. But what a way for RM to try to get him to understand that's what was needed. Change takes time. To be mindfully kind and to have an open mind. I seen sooo many BTS things randomly between 2018 and 2022. At that time I was very displeased with new music and I also had lost my 2 best friends to cancer and drugs at that time and was busy covering up major depression. Listening to the same artist and not really giving new ones a chance. Plus older music kept me grounded. I heard of BTS. I even knew and sang 3 of their songs. However I let my disappointment in all the sad things in the world keep me from opening up my mind to liking them as artists. I listened to a good friend of mine, finally, in 2022 and watched the PTD concert as a way of bonding and curiosity. I wish everyday I would have not been soo stubborn and let them in, they had been coming for me for years. But I am grateful 🙏🏽 that I have them now, and you gentlemen, and all the ARMY I have met. 💜💜💜 Borahae 💜💜💜💜

I haven't had time to read all the comments on this video so I might be repeating some of the things other Armys said before me, but I am just done watching this video and I wanted to put my thoughts down while they are fresh in my mind. I loved the carpool karaoke video, and it was one of the first things I saw when I discovered BTS, it was such a funny interaction and I really loved the whole Papa Mochi and Baby Mochi thing...in a world where RM does most of the talking in English content, I appreciate hosts who try to engage other members and create little bonding moments. However, I was disappointed with the interview that followed...minimal talking, and no depth, so just meh. I don't know if you noticed, but Jimin was getting ready to say something right after V said his comment in English, but James didn't notice and cut him off and finished the interview. As a non-native English speaker living in the US, so many times I've had to build up courage to say something in a meeting at work or in a social interaction, so I totally recognized this in Jimin. It made me a little sad thinking about how hard these interviews are for them. Now this controversy...watching it again, I feel like he salvaged the interview, and I don't know I was able to see that the first time. I felt he was more sincere when he talked about seeing Army's good side and how he felt being on the other side. However, he never apologized; in fact, when RM said, "we appreciate your apology," he laughed and started to say, "AHHH, it wasn't." He never acknowledged why his little jokes were harmful and the weight they carry. Yes, ARMY is not composed of only 15-year-old girls; you are proof, I am proof...but WHAT IF IT WAS? I am sick and tired of people belittling what women and girls are into. Why is it acceptable for 15-year-old boys to be passionate about soccer, football, baseball, basketball, etc., but it is considered hysterical, crazy, irrational when girls are into something? So...I feel like this is a bit bigger than some people realize. I think Jordan's honesty about switching the channel is linked to this...how many people will continue to perpetuate harmful stereotypes about BTS, fandom culture, and "girly" things because of "little jokes"? Language matters, man, and it is not just people being sensitive; it is people coming to realize and being able to pinpoint where harm is done. So, that's my hot take. The second interview was better, and I think having the members speak Korean made all the difference. I think the boys never returned to James Corden, and I find their interactions with Jimmy Fallon a bit more comfortable or sincere. The last thing I wanted to say because I totally related to your words and sentiments at the end of this video, and this is why I love reaction videos, and yours in particular. Witnessing someone fall in love with something ...it is powerful, and I absolutely loved you voicing your love for BTS and witnessing the realization of your graduation from Baby Army to Army. This thing they have created with Army, it is big. I left a comment in another video where I said you don't talk about the members as people as much as I would like, and that you focus on the music more. This right here is what I was missing, I wanted to know that you love them, that you see J-hope's energy and laughter, Jin's sense of humor, V's old soul and comfort, Jimin's tender care, JK's and undeniable skills for literally everything and his pureness, Suga's realness, and Rm's grace, leadership and genuineness as essential, that you love what they bring to your life and not just their talent or hard work. I sincerely appreciate you sharing with us, and I thank you because I love them too.

I'm not one to go around with grudges. But James never apologized for hurting Army's feelings. ARMY was good with James until he made ARMY the butt of a joke. A joke that re-enforces a stereotype that really harms ARMY and BTS's reputation. Not that being a 15-year-old girl ARMY is bad. But we aren't all 15-year-olds. And a fandom with "crazed teenage girls" is a reputation we have been fighting for years. All James did was play the victim card before playing it off and sucking up to BTS. It's wrong to send death threats no matter what. But that was not at all the subject matter. And no matter which "hive" you poke or even orbit around, you will get death threats. It's not an angry ARMY thing, it's a public thing. And I might be wrong here, but I think BTS saw that as well. None of them have yet to return to James Corden's show after this(even though they have returned to James Corden's show previously). But both Jimin and Suga have returned to Jimmy Fallon. Jungkook even returned to gma.

I loved your reaction to this and your full circle moment and transition to ARMY. It's not every day I get to witness that moment for someone. I remember when I first started watching the VLives and people were saying "I Love You" to the members and I thought it was so strange. Like how do you love someone you've never actually met. It didn't take me too long to figure it out, but you guys nailed it. Whether you like their music or not, there really is no denying the astounding character of these 7 men, and sometimes I feel like a broken record trying to explain it to my family. They will never understand until they see it for themselves. I know they think, "yes, I'm sure they are great guys, but there's a lot of great people in the world" and while of course that is true, it's just so hard to explain how they really are different, and again, you just have to experience it for yourself. But as you said, if you don't have an open mind you won't allow yourself to even try to discover them and that is seriously such a loss for so many people. It is such a joy to watch you both on this journey. I wasn't ARMY yet during the pandemic, but I became ARMY right toward the end, and I've watched all of the content they put out trying to help ARMY stay positive and trying to entertain them during those dreadful months, all while dealing with their own disappointments, and like James said, it really is a testament to them, because i also agree, no other artist was out there doing what they did. When I hear people say, and it's very often, that BTS saved their lives, I absolutely believe them. I'm not sure BTS will ever truly know their impact on the world for many years to come. They deserve everything. I can't wait to watch you learn more. You both are wonderful men as well, and its such a joy to see how you are impacted by them. One thing that drew me to BTS was my renewed optimism that there were still good people in the world because I swear 2017-2021 didn't show me much to be proud of when it came to the human race and then I found BTS and I thought, wait these men who are ridiculously famous and could be stuck up celebrities, are the most humble, genuine, people I have seen in forever and I must say that I think you two are among that description of people as well. Let's carry on and enjoy more BTS. I'm so far behind still.

Jared's reaction when Ashton carried Jin: EXACTLE SAME AS MINE. My poor baby was so startled and turned red after that 🥺🤧 Thanks for this, I enjoyed this very much!! 💜

I can’t wait for you guys to react to ON. It is truly out of this world from the song itself to the performance 🤯

Johana

I can pinpoint the moment I fell in love and it was Jimin in his red jacket finishing the dance with a quick side body roll. This video is the reason I truly dived into the BTS rabbit hole. Seeing their personalities and hearing the song snippets made me want to know everything.

This was so satisfying to watch. As to your really interesting discussion at the end, you hit the nail on the head, about the point at which I considered myself an Army. For a few months after being introduced to BTS, I was listening to their songs regularly and consuming their content, and I enjoyed it, and I was impressed by it, but I was at that point still just a fan. For me, I became a member of the Army when I started to care about the members, as individuals and as a group. Everyone decides for themselves when and how they become an Army, but that was the point for me. And what you said about judgement and being open minded really resonated too. Two and a half years on from discovering BTS, the songs on my Spotify playlists have completely changed. I’ve gone from listening mostly to the latest pop songs on the radio and rock music (all in English of course), to listening to Spanish songs from a Mexican rock band, and music from other Korean groups, and I have heavy metal, and songs with predominantly rap in them etc. I feel like my horizons have expanded through my experiences with BTS, and that I am much more willing to just try something new even if it’s totally different from anything I’ve experienced before. It’s pretty cool. And all of that is without even touching on the joy, comfort and fun I get from BTS. I’m so excited for you. Welcome to the Army 💜

Frances

When you react to ON there’s is two performances…the kinetic manifesto and the one at Grand Central Station on Jimmy Fallon
