Do I Still Listen To Albums I've Reacted To? Q+A VID!!

Right, first Q+A vid in the bag - will do at least one more from the excellent questions you guys left in the comment thread

FEEDBACK - Did you enjoy the video? Is this something you'd like as a Patreon exclusive, or put on the channel? Let me know your thoughts and thanks again!

EDIT: If this DID go on YouTube, would you like a secondary style of Q+A vids specific to Patreon? Like a livestream where I also answer some questions for people who can't make it live? (I think we can do this on the Discord?). Then maybe Patrons get 3 out of 5 of the questions asked on the edited vids for YT... just thinking out loud.

This took me nearly as long to edit as some album reactions! Which is all good but I'm always trying to figure out the best way to be efficient with time

In terms of transitional metal music for certain audiences, I think that some tracks from Rina Sawayama's 'SAWAYAMA' project are up there. (Coming from someone who hasn't traditionally listened to a lot of metal.) Thank you for this, keep doing you. Also please consider listening to Jhene Aiko's "TRIP' album. It's very far from her stuff with Big Sean lol.

I need the playlist. Would like to get into more rock music but there’s so much and I’m barely familiar with any at all. Not familiar with any of the different sub genres either.

Ashton

Breaks my heart Frank Ocean isn’t in your rotation

Jordan White

Amazing answer for the getting into metal question. The deftones x travis comparison was on point.

Thanks for answering my question Jon! I find it really interesting to hear you talk about music that would normally be “more in your comfort zone”

BK

he could do a video like this with the more elongated answers on patreon and then cut down the video to more concise, shorter answers for youtube.. might make for too much editing though idk

I enjoyed your beginners guide to metal music lol, I've never paid much attention to this genre, but with your help maybe I will now. I'd love for you to do the same kind of thing with any other genre's of music that you listen to

So sick to hear you're also a Deftones fan!

Love to see this kind of content! Would be sick to see more content on music you like, maybe you showing us some of your favorite albums/artists that wouldn't normally "fit in" on the main channel. Or just more tier lists and q&a's!

Whoops

I enjoyed this

Cole being put in the same category as Kendrick is so crazy to me and just shows how overrated he is.

Great video, Jon, would love a metal playlist. Keep it up!

I would be down for a "re-reacting" video, where you revisit an album or a bunch of songs that you've reacted to in the past - some songs just require multiple listens 🙏🏼

Joren Woordes

Nice, yeah post it on YouTube. I’m good enough with the fact that you let us Patreon members ask the questions

Gyra

I like this a lot. A really good step for connecting with your audience.

Dominic McCarthy

Cheers for the answer Jon, very interesting to hear your thoughts! Like the different backgrounds too, makes a nice change for this sort of video

mearns

Love this Jon🙏🏼

Just finished the video and enjoyed it, I believe it was formated well and felt very personal which is good for a Q&A video. Great job

Marquis

Keeping it on the patreon would certainly make it feel like more of a personal Q and A for all the loyal subs, but this format works very well on YouTube, I'm happy with it either way 🔥
