My apologies for the super late upload. Today was a little rough on the old emotions, so when I got home from work I needed to just unwind and NOT deal with a bunch of ignorant, prejudiced bigots determined to hate everything and everyone that doesn't fit their narrow ideal of what constitutes as a 'acceptable human'. I held it together because, y'know, work and needing to keep my job but when I got home I just needed some happy music and memes.
Anyway, here's a sequel to: https://www.patreon.com/posts/whitewood-of-75391705
Saw the image, decided to make a sequel and maybe this will open up a new 'traditional' Fantasy element to my captions with these two newlyweds getting into some magical shenanigans within said fantasy world? Who knows?
Next GENIE'D! page hits on Monday!
TEXT
The feral looking blonde woman grunted in a unfeminine manner as she trudged through the underbrush of the deep forest, fighting just as much against the terrain as she was against the horse behind her. It snorted and whinnied and dug its hooves in every chance it got, slowing their progress significantly.
"Be quiet you damn mule! They'll hear us! And quit dragging yourself through the mud! They're going to be able to track us!" The blonde woman hissed through the constant pain, tugging again on the reins that were rubbing blisters into her small hands. The forest was hot and muggy and she felt sweat dripping in places that she really, really wished she didn't have to think about. The leather armor she had worn was chaffing on her sensitive skin and the rudimentary disguise she'd tried to hide herself under was falling apart in the rugged terrain.
The horse reared up in response and tugged harshly at the reins, sending the blonde falling painfully to the ground. The beast of burden snorted and stamped its feet, tossing its head back towards the towering spire that loomed over the forest canopy.
"NO! I am NOT going back there and playing some little sex toy princess! You should have read the context between the scenes! This dumb book isn't just some fairy tale about a princess marrying a prince!" The woman screeched, an accusing finger pointed at her horse.
The horse let out another long whinny in protest, tossing its head up and down towards the fur-clad blonde and then rubbing its flanks before staring at the tower again, a look of fear and dread in its large eyes.
The horse and the woman were actually wife and man, respectively. Weeks ago, newlyweds Beth and Isaac had been sucked into a magical book that Beth had found at an eccentric bookstore. When they'd landed in the world of the book, on the shores of a lake with the huge castle in the distance, Beth had been transformed into a stallion...and Isaac into the gorgeous and buxom princess Penelope (and the protagonist of the novel)! And since arriving at the castle life had been nothing but horror for the both of them as they had tried, desperately, to play the roles they had found themselves in with the logiccthay if they reached the end of the story, they'd be able to escape.
Unfortunately for both of them, as if their transformations hadn't been enough, the world of the novel turned out to be full of socio-political commentary and subtext about working conditions and the rights of women in a medieval fantasy state. All of which had been lost on Beth as she'd last read the story as a young child. So now she was a breeding stallion, a trophy owned and constantly put to work or being shown off, while her accommodations, already primitive and, well, designed for an animal, were horrendous. The former human woman spent her days mounting mares and getting whipped if she resisted, living in a stinking stable and forced to carry around the obese king, dukes and princes, getting whipped if she didn't comply. But it would all end when her husband got married, right? Just play the part of the obedient animal, follow the directions of the humans, eatcthe hay, mount the mares...Beth fallen into the routine very quickly. It's not as if she could get to Isaac or even tell him how to move the story forward!
And Isaac, well, as a woman in a fantasy land ruled by men, he was no longer allowed to speak freely. He was forced to wear uncomfortable dresses that emphasized his new body, specifically his new hips and heavy breasts. And while the former man was waited on by servants, 'Penelope' was largely just considered another prize by the tyrannical king, 'her father'. The 'princess' was trotted out as little more than a prize to be drooled over by visiting dignitaries and suffered from more than a few unwanted touches by the king and the young princes that 'she' shared the castle with. And the queen had been no help at all, so stuck in tradition and protocol that she would simply ignore Isaac's pleas for help or beat him for speaking out of turn. 'Penelope' had a job, and that was to look gorgeous, get married to another lord, and have babies, sire an heir and then likely die. Well, the IT Administrator wasn't thrilled of that is prospect, nor playing the mewling damsel in distress for Prince Charming, who was handsome but a buffoon. Nor was Isaac all that interested in men! Not that it mattered, as the 'story' he seemed to be living in was forcing the two to spend more and more time together! And as Isaac had never read the story before, he was simply floundering in the endless sea of court functions and the endless floofy (but restrictive) dresses he was forced to wear.
Finally sick of being a top-heavy blonde woman whose only purpose (that Isaac knew, at least) was to look pretty, he'd eventually had enough and had fled the castle after donning a very primitive disguise! But Isaac hadn't forgotten about his wife and had snuck to the stables to free her...Only to find the stallion balls deep in a horse! But the moment the two had locked eyes, Beth had pulled herself from the mare and had begun knickering at her husband, who simply shushed her (Like she was some...some animal!) and had led her out of the stables and into the night! The English-Lit teacher had been curious as to what Isaac had been doing, looking like that and where they were going...Until they had reached the forest's edge near dawn and the buxom princess had dragged her into the underbrush! This wasn't how the story was supposed to go at all! Isaac was supposed to court Prince Charming and learnthe value of courage and leadership by leading a peasant revolt against Charming after the prince betrayed and trapped the King! And if they didn't follow the story...They might never change back! But try as she might, Beth was simply an animal, a very POWERFUL animal, but she lacked thumbs, a voice...and had a halter and bit in her mouth that Isaac wouldn't stop pulling on! And if she didn't stay with her erring husband, who knew what might happen to both of them now that they were in the forest that had all sorts of magical creatures!
But neither of the prize pieces of breeding stock had left completely unnoticed. The moment the sun had come up, the castle had gone into full alert! Even now the King, Prince Charming, other nobles and the court knights were combing the forest for them! Even now the two could hear the very distant clatter of armor and indistinct shouts of men. The sounds were rapidly approaching and what little head start Isaac and Beth had was quickly vanishing.
Another tug at the reins, but Beth held her ground against her desheveled and quite buxom husband. She knickered as threateningly as she could, throwing in a handful of snorts and grunts for good measure. It wasn't much but when you were trapped as an animal that couldn't speak, well, Beth had learned to make do with the very few communication tools she had. Not that Isaac seemed impressed.
"Beth! I am NOT going to play some damsel in the hopes that this works out! Who knows if we're just playing parts or in some...Matrix world where we can determine things ourselves!? I KNOW that this forest is magical, so maybe, just maybe, we can find a wizard or someone who can zap us out of here! Or maybe you back into a human and me back into a man!" Isaac crossed his thin arms across his still plenty bountiful chest as it strained against the leather armor he had thrown on. He desperately hoped that Beth could even understand him, what with being a horse and all. But if push came to shove...Isaac was NOT going back to the castle! He'd have to leave her and try to fix them both on his own! Even if it meant staying away from that chiselef chin on Charming!
Beth, however, couldn't deny the logic. Especially since Isaac clearly wasn't figuring out the next step of the story, which was to fall hopelessly in love with Prince Charming, which would make the sudden but inevitable betrayal sting so much more and spur Penelope into leading the peasants in revolt. If they were just...living here now...Then completely the story wouldn't do anything! Maybe it was more prudent to seek a solution elsewhere, with another magic user. Beth had to hand it to her husband, he was an IT admin for a reason. Maybe just for a bit...And at least figure out a way to make her talk again! Perhaps then she could make her own case for going back to the castle and walk Isaac through the story! And get back to the mares. Wait...what? But the thought vanished as quickly as it arrived. So Beth, after a moment of thought, slowly lowered her long neck up and down and pawed her left hoof on the ground twice before going still.
"Great! I knew you'd understand, babe! C'mon, those assclowns are getting closer!" Isaac beamed, pulling on the reins once more only for Beth to quickly jerk the leather straps out of his calloused hands. The hung horse that had been his wife awkwarldy swung the reins up over her long neck and with a low grunt and possibly involuntary fart, carefully picked her way through the underbrush on her own.If she was going along with this, then like hell was she going to be led like an animal any longer!
"Ugh, women." Isaac muttered in his high pitched sing-song voice and followed after his four-legged wife. Well, one thing was for sure, his mom and dad had been right when they said that getting married was going to be a whole new adventure!
