They don't have snakes in San Francisco

Great reaction

The bad thing is all the restrictions were and are nessary to protect innocent people from getting dragged in and convicted and/or having their lives ruined, then you get the real scumbags that abuse them to tie up the system.

Kris Homeniuk

57. No you cannot change the laws. Thats why they are there for and that is one thing when I was thinking about. The 4th Amendment is in the United states Constitution, protects citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government Which is why there little note they had on the police headquarters saying, Anyone who enters this building is subject to searches. A buildings rules will never trump over the constitution. But this is the first time I've seen this film before. You munchies caught me with a new one I never seen before. Excellent reaction to this film, on to the next.

Saints_Madness

The Mary Poppins / Dirty Harry juxtaposition is wonderful. Some of us have harsh work. Carry on, Munchies πŸ™‚ πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

If you want to see Mr. Eastwood in an entirely different kind of role than what you've already seen, watch "Paint Your Wagon," and "Bronco Billy." Also keep in mind that Dirty Harry is FICTION, bordering on fantasy. The exact circumstances and actions shown are pieced together from bits of reality, but then often exaggerated, plus the movie was made 53 years ago. Things are different now, some things better, some things worse. Bad laws, bad attorneys, bad judges, bad politicians, and bad police still exist... have always existed. But there are also good ones. BAD GUYS existed then, and it seems that they will always exist and pretty much always be bad. Fortunately smart, clever, super evil ones like in DH were and are very rare. You said that the Vietnamese army would have stepped in. The USA has the Posse Comitatus Act, which law generally prevents the use of the military as a domestic police force, with limited exceptions. This was passed because American citizens distrust the Federal Government, not wanting it to use the military for domestic politics. (Very simplified explanation. Millions of words have been written on the topic. Research if interested.)

Great reaction ladies. There are 5 Dirty Harry movies in total and they are all really good. 1. Dirty Harry 2. Magnum Force 3. The Enforcer 4. Sudden Impact 5. The Dead Pool Hope you watch them all.

Scottish Smurf

At the time this movie was made, communications technology was not very advanced. Because Harry didn't have a radio with him, he couldn't easily call for backup, so that's why he had to act alone to get the killer. The Dirty Harry movies were popular because Harry always stood up for justice against all the bureaucrats who hid behind the law to cover up their stupidity and lack of caring.

Thaddeus Winterson

Justice, Vietnamese style!

Mr Jackpots

Dirty Harry is at it Again in "Sudden Impact" (1983)

Ryan92280

Do you feel lucky?

Kris Homeniuk

It wouldn't look out of place today really.

Manospondylus

Firefox is my favorite Eastwood movie, but I doubt the ladies would like it.

Angrytoybox

First time watching this on Patreon with you girls. This was fun! Watching you I was wondering. Did you find it too slow? Too dark I already know. I saw this when it came out, and it was a very popular, though controversial, hit. The experience is much different in the theatre. You can see in the dark, and time passes differently. Much diifferent from watching on a small screen at home. You guys are doing great! Keep on rockin

tommylegless

First time I have ever seen this and it was alright.

Imperial Mort

Smith & Wesson Model 29 in .44 Magnum. Beautiful iconic gun.

Manospondylus

I wouldn't consider this film an Exploitation Film, but it's kind of close. An Exploitation Film takes very serious subjects like violence, sexual violence, drugs and turns it into entertainment. They are the junk food of the cinema world - maybe fun to consume but not good for you :) Yeah, so Dirty Harry is not an exploitation film, but it does share some similarities and there's a certain sleaziness to this film. SCORPIO, the killer, is based on the real-life serial killer ZODIAC. Zodiac would send letters to the police and the press and taunt them. There's actually a film about this real-life killer called ZODIAC that is directed by David Fincher, the same director from Seven. If you're looking for more crime films, this is a good one and quite intense.

Steven Roy

Yes, its a good thing there arn't any gatekeepers in the community that would be terrible

Imperial Mort

Cowboy, cop or retired war veteran, Clint Eastwood is always an iconic badass. Fun reaction, especially seeing you two get so engaged about the grey areas of the law/justice, and I hope to hear Chi call more bad guys "punk" haha.

Proto Type

Classic Clint Eastwood movies not yet recommended that I know you would love are: True Crime (1999), Every Which Way But Loose (1978) and the sequel Any Which Way You Can (1980). But if you want to see MORE DIRTY HARRY MOVIES: Deadpool, The Enforcer, Sudden Impact. These are all sequels of Dirty Harry.

Milvo

🀘🏻 But….. does definition of a channel β€˜rocking’ mean that it must review β€˜The Untouchables’ from 1987…..? I am really trying πŸ˜‚β€οΈ (we all know Hella is the funniest person / reactor on Patreon πŸ‘πŸ») (edited)…. Chi - you are also very funny on your reactions πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Duncan

Hella, I am a fellow Scorpio and now I understand why you are always so passionate in these reactions!πŸ˜‚ I agree with many of the commenters suggestions above, but I will say for a great Western movie, Unforgiven is one my all time favorites and is made to represent a truer version of the old west. Another Eastwood favorite is Absolute Power. There are many great, older actors in that movie including Gene Hackman who also stars with him in Unforgiven. I've said it before and I will say it again, I love this channel and you all rock!

Jeffrey Roberts

Great choice. You might like "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood". It's about the movie industry and Los Angeles in the 60s. It's from Tarantino and has great actors.

Grumpy Monk

Amen πŸ™‚ πŸ‘πŸ»

Duncan

Probably not the best idea to interrupt Callaghan’s lunch…..

Duncan

Everyone, we gotta ask ourselves one question: Do we feel lucky?

Jay Maurice

You know I like the community here for some reason. You guys/gals seem to know movies, and don't recommend so many "kiddy" cartoon" movies all the damn time. unlike certain Patreons. πŸ˜†πŸ˜‹

Mark W

"unforgiven", yes GOOOOOD!

Mark W

Of other Clint Eastwood movies I would spescially recomend "A fistfull of dollars" (1964) and "The unforgiven" (1992). (And of course Gran Torino and The good, the bad , the ugly - which you have already reacted on)

aaarskog

Awesome! Looking forward to watching this! Please do 'For A Few Dollars More' if you are enjoying the Western movies, it's one of the movies in the 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' trilogy, my personal favourite Western movie of all time 😁

Bangors Mostbaked

YES! 70s movies are the BEST! Please do the whole Dirty Harry series! You ladies are πŸ”₯!

Mr. Writhms

Wow! Now I DO feel lucky!

Nathanial House

A great Clint Eastwood movie you should react to is "Kelly's Heroes"

Imperial Mort

I swear whoever is suggesting these movies is like my older brother or something.

JeffBonasse

"Go ahead, make my day" munchies πŸ˜‚

Tyler T

Go ahead Movie Munchies, make my day! Actually, you just did. Unexpected reaction, but I’m here for it! Love this movie.
