The Incredible Hulk Reaction

The Incredible Hulk Reaction

Comments

Scanned comments and didn't see this one. In the beginning Banner was watching TV and a kid (Eddie) slaps the man (his father) in the face. That is a scene from TV show The Courtship of Eddie's Father. The man slapped in the face is the late Bill Bixby who played David Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk TV series 1977-1982 and three made for TV movies 1988-1990. These are unrelated to the MCU.

Charles W Jansen II

They are doing their watch in release order not chronological order. Better first time through this way.

After seeing all the renditions of the Hulk this one has more rage. They are all good for the time they were each released.

51. lol She's pregnant, no she's not. And the big guy who took the pizza as a bribe, that's Lou Ferrigno, the original Hulk. Lou was one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's competitors in the body building world. This has to be the best portrayal of the Hulk with his rage. The next rendition of the Hulk is good but then Disney made him soft in She Hulk. Lol Ms. Romance, what do you mean by, "She might give it to you." lol just get back with each other, you 2 were really rooting for them to get busy. Bravo on keeping within the timeline of the Marvel Universe. I tell ya, it's very good and at the end of each movie from here on out, there is always a cutscene at the very end of the film which leads on to the next movie. Captain America: The First Avenger would be next then after captain America, Iron Man 2. Then Thor. This is going to be an entertaining journey with you 2 or 3.

Hello Ladies, I am not sure if you are aware of this, the creator/comic writer of the "Hulk" is Stan Lee. He was the old American dude who drank the infected Brazilian soda out of the fridge and dropped the bottle in the first part of the movie. You will find him acting as a "Cameo" in ALL the Marvel comics he personally created. (Quite funny actually, IMHO.) (Up until he passed away, of course.) Plus+, Lou Ferrigno (security guard who was bribed with pizza) played the actual green Hulk in the famous American TV series back in the 80's. That music you said was sad was the theme song for it. I have to confess to @Jaura comment: I am partial to the "Hulk" movie released in 2003, with Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott, and Nick Nolty, however the CGI was not quite there yet (bit campy,), plus they needed to tie in into all the new Avenger movies yet to come which I am sure you are on the track for to come. So, if you want the true "back story" of the Hulk, watch that one. This is why they kind of "skipped over" the origin story I guess plus they needed to re-write some things for the upcoming "Avengers." It was very odd they put out a new "HULK" movie just 5 years later, but I am hoping this may help explain some negativity for it.

That’s also cool lol

Jaura

Taj Jackson

Proto Type

very happy that you started this journey, wohooooo! <3

Igor

Tyler always had a soft body type.

Manospondylus

Agreed

The fact that the CGI is no longer up to date is due to its age. You also have to remember that this Movie came to the cinema before Disney bought the MCU, it was a much smaller production than later MCU movies. Apart from that, the Hulk design in this movie was (in my opinion) better than the MCU Hulk.

Digitalversager

Exactly, he just recently just did a film with timothee chalamet, in the bob dylan biopic and he said he loved working with Edward, everyone loved working with each other on set.

Chase

The CGI in this Hulk was horrible though. Not once was I convince he was in the scenes with live-action people.

Mr. Writhms

36:35 Hella: "Its her... SHE'S PREGNANT gasps" oh no.... 🀣🀣🀣

Daryl

IRON MAN WAS SOOOO GOOD. Time to watch Hulk. 🀣 It will be interesting. I have not watched this since it was in theatres.

Daryl

I almost didn't recognize him without the purple pants and wig, I'm sure you know he also competed against Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Mister Universe competition ages ago

SpunToTheLeft

You're clearly an MCU fan (as am I, at least up to Endgame). I highly recommend the book that I referenced in my earlier comment. I'm sure that you would enjoy it.

Joel Purvis

If he co-wrote this movie, he did a good job. There's nothing better than an actor who cares about the character he's playing. Look at Iron Man, if I remember correctly, Robert Downey Jr was instrumental in the character development of Tony Stark in the movies and he became one of the most popular characters in the MCU. With all the success the MCU has had, I still think we missed out by the MCU not continuing with Edward Norton's Hulk. I haven't heard of any problems with Edward Norton behind the camera.

Digitalversager

Wow I forgot he was in this.

Manospondylus

Marvel Movies before Iron Man 1986 Howard the Duck 1998 Blade 2000 X-Men 2002 Blade II, Spider-Man 2003 Daredevil, X2/X-men 2, Hulk 2004 The Punisher, Spider-Man 2, Blade: Trinity 2005 Elektra, Fantastic Four 2006 X-Men: The Last Stand 2007 Ghost Rider, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Imperial Mort

Yeah because he was given creative control by marvel even Louis Leterrier even confirmed this on a podcast with Joshua Horowitz even he said he loved working with Edward

Chase

This movie can be a little bit ignored in the upcoming marvel timeline since they recast Bruce Banner from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo after this, although it is still part of the story, I'm excited that you have decided to embark your marvel journey and hope you have a decent guide since there are a lot of movies in this universe as well as TV shows, it would be suggested that you don't skip anything since with these films they all lead into each other and ALWAYS stay after the credits, it's a tradition with these films, one thing I will say is eventually there will be some Spider-Man movies set in this universe, there are 5 Spider-Man movies not set in this universe that you should watch specifically before the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), you have a while before that but just make sure you watch the following movies before that one; Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Spider-Man 3 (2007), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). You can watch these any time but you MUST watch them before Spider-Man: No Way Home, it's very important, thank you and i look forward to watching your marvel journey!

Jonathan Kidman

As Digitalversager said, the man who drinks the lemonade (the late, great Stan Lee) is an influential Marvel writer/editor/creator who co-created many of the characters and helped make Marvel Comics famous. A fun "mini-game" of sorts when watching Marvel movies is to spot his cameo - he appears in almost all of them until 2018 (when he died) - which includes the Spider-man, X-Men, and Deadpool movies. For instance, you saw him in Iron Man as the guy who is at the party with the two girls. He turns around briefly when Tony touches his shoulder so that we can see his face. You also could have spotted him in Deadpool as the DJ at the strip club.

James Hull

My info comes from the book MCU by Joanna Robinson. She interviewed multiple people that worked in the movie and even goes into how he insisted on being a writer in his contract. It seems pretty well researched and credible.

Joel Purvis

He really isn’t, it’s just the same stupid rumors ever since 1998 because of tony Kaye because he didn’t get his way in American history X. In fact Liv Tyler would just talk about how sweet and wonderful Ed and how she grateful to work with him

Chase

Behind the scenes, the reason that Ed Norton was replaced is that he was an absolute nightmare to work with, fought with the director constantly and insisted on rewriting much of the film himself. I agree he's a fantastic actor but by all accounts he's a huge pain to work with.

Joel Purvis

I πŸ’― agree with you, but I also think that majority of the Hulk fans prefer Ed Norton, they’ll take Eric Bana over Mark Ruffalo πŸ˜‚

Chase

Unpopular opinion, I like Edward Norton's Bruce Banner/Hulk better than Mark Ruffalo's who the MCU continued with. This Hulk looks more dangerous, that's how I would imagine Hulk. The piano piece that you hear in the first scene where Bruce is homeless is quite popular among Hulk fans. It comes from the Hulk TV series from 1977. I loved this series as a kid and I think Bill Bixby is the perfect Bruce Banner. https://youtu.be/TzMSfaNXYZg?si=eKyeh-BkGMzLRlrq The old man who drinks the lemonade with Bruce's blood in it is Stan Lee by the way. Stann Lee is arguably the most influential comic book writer there is. He created many of the most popular comic book heroes. He was also in Iron Man and if you keep your eyes open you'll see him more often. He had a brief cameo appearance in every Marvel movie up until his death. That was an awesome reaction ladies, I look forward to more.πŸ’œ

Digitalversager

The security guy that got the pizza is Lou Farrigno. He played the Hulk on television from 1977 - 1982. The hulk always had purple pants in the comic books.

Gregory A Mann

Yes Two Marvel movies let’s Go! 😎 Love ❀️ Edward Norton and Liv Tyler chemistry, he was the Hulk and Bruce Banner for me. Another Ed Norton movie y’all should react to Hella and Chi is the 25th Hour (2002)

Chase

Two Marvel movies in the same day? You are feeding us ladies!
