46. Lol, What is she doing? Trying to flirt? Nah that's pass flirting. That's called seducing. Trying to seduce a man. Oh no, thats called the Australian bushback handshake. Do not re-attempt this in modern times. Ya know they are actually married. A bit of a cheesy film but a classic. When your young watching this, its entertainment. On to the next

Saints_Madness

Speaking of comedies, I would like to suggest that you watch the british comedy "Hot Fuzz" from 2007. It's easily one of my favorite comedy movies of all time and I think you would enjoy it a lot.

phoenix241

That's so funny! In the beginning of the final chase scene, most western audiences were like "run! you can still catch him", but Chi and Katie just want him to get away from her. Re-watching this after many years, I am agreeing with Chi and Katie. The woman is no good. XD

phoenix241

Another Australia based movie in the fish out of water theme, "Young Einstein"

Kris Homeniuk

If you want more of Pual Hogan but in a more historical movie watch "ANZAC" where he portrays one of the many men that signed up from the "colonies" to fight for Britan in WW1.

Kris Homeniuk

Just to let you know there are two sequels to this and both are good.

Alex

Except that she doesn't.

Alex

It popped up on here a few days ago.

S_Vive

Check out a movie called A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. You’ll love it I promise. It’s a kick in the nuts.

Jim Crawford

so much interaction.... but i use this to say plz dont wait to do part 2 like BTTF ... its as good as part 1

What is considered moral or immoral behavior between men and women varies tremendously from place to place and in different times. For the people involved in this movie's situation, breaking off an engagement (and it was never clear that Sue had formally agreed to Richard's proposal) for something she thought 'better' was considered 'okay' by people of Sue's status or class. Other American's would not agree, but Sue was rich, privileged, headstrong, and would not care what those people would think. She was practicing "hypergamy," and at the same time "hypogamy." Hypergamy can be referred to as "dating up" or "marrying up," usually in terms of marrying a spouse of higher social status or wealth than themselves, while hypogamy is the inverse--"marrying down"--a person of lower social class or status or wealth. Different people place different values on what they think of as good potential spouse qualities. Sue apparently decided that she valued the qualities of a 'Manly Man' (Dundee) more than the high social status and wealth of a sophisticated dick of her own class like Richard. It was perhaps easier for her because she already had her family wealth and status. All that long winded pontificating aside, Crocodile Dundee 2 is well worth watching.

It’s over here in the U.K. and if you drink it you’re pretty much ostracised from civilised society πŸ˜‚

Though it has been said/recommended before, I will add here that as much as I like the first film even for its few missteps, it is better thought of as acting as a necessary introduction to the 2nd film more than anything else... and the ladies could see Part Two as a more satisfying conclusion to the characters than the ending of the first film tries to be. The 2nd film is without the relationship ambiguity/uncertainty that served as the embodiment of an antagonist facing Mick & Sue in drawing closer to each other, and substitutes a true external antagonist to rally against. So, yes ladies, please conclude your Croc Dundee viewing with taking in the 2nd film.

S_Vive

they were shooting greys, greys are what anyone thinks of when they think of roos

IronHead

There are some species of Kangaroo that are extinct and/or nearly extinct, but not the most common ones.

Edward Olson

No self respecting Aussie would ever drink Fosters beer, come to think of it we don't even like canned beer. And Outback Steakhouse, what's that all that about haha

AlexMurphy

No Aussie ever threw a 'shrimp' on a barbie.

Varrus

yeah, it's an impossible task to please everyone.

Paul De'Armond

Everybody has different tastes in movies I suppose. Besides Kick Ass and Elf, the rest of the last 15 or so have been right up my alley, or at least movies I've been meaning to watch at some point.

Brandon

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think the sequel is a lot better than this first movie.

Proto Type

RIP Steve Irwin

yeah it's not just you Chi, the way the reporter lady character casually tries to get with Dundee while already in a relationship is just weird, it's like she forgets she's in a relationship already, I think she's just a thinly written character, I also never liked the scene where he basically assaults the crossdresser, always felt very mean to me and out of character, since Mick Dundee basically gets along with everyone else, otherwise this just a kind of fun movie with not much plot to speak of, it was massive when it came out, I wouldn't advise watching the sequels, they get worse from here, 'Coming to America' (1988) is a better version of this type of movie about someone from another country going to New York city, except in that case it's Africa not Australia.

Jonathan Kidman

I'm not trying to be a hater, but wow, these movie choices lately are ...... not good. I'm a real one though, so I will stay subscribed.

Paul De'Armond

Yeah steve was a hero of mine growing up, through his tv shows i cured my feart of snakes to finding them facinating and beatiful and keep a couple as pets Dropping more fun clips i so funny 😊 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-xUaT7ncnk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y99S3uIY-U

AlexMurphy

I love Steve Irwin and everything he did for wildlife. His son is doing a great job at carrying on the legacy.

Looney

I really enjoyed this reaction. If you want to more of this kind of character I recommend you check out an Australian Man named Steve Irwin. Many people compare them but the a 2 major difference. 1. Steve was not a poacher, he was an activist for animal and environmental conversation 2. Steve was a REAL person who really did wrestle with crocodiles, wrangle snakes, swim with sharks. Steve was very passionate about animals and his energyh was infectious, it is hard not to like him. Unfortunatel he passed away on a diving expedition after being stung in the heart by a stingray. Very sad but i remedmber him saying in an interview something like if hew dies doing what he loves, he is okay with that. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=853001053188502 Full Interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo_iG1eyMvQ These day we have his son Robert who has follwed in his footsteps and is like a younger clone of steve: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrVfuDx4ET8

Saw both the girls give a look when Wal mentioned crawling into Kimberly, its a region in northern Western Australia not what you were thinking :p Also roo's are by no means nearly extinct :p they are booming so much that there are regular culls to keep the population in check.

IronHead

Did I do that? 🀣

AlexMurphy

After this movie Paul Hogan went on a campaign to promote tourism and introduced Australia to the rest of the world and i estimate about 80% of the info is wrong or inaccurate, and alot of the world still believe them till today., hahah Many Australians get annoyed at these stereotypes but i think its funny. because Paul was actually a comedian before he made this movie. I like to think that Paul saw his chance and thought to himself, "I'm gonna troll the whole world" 😊

AlexMurphy

If you're interested in Australian cinema, I think the director George Miller and his Road Warrior series of films is worth checking out. It was these films that really made Mel Gibson a star. It would be interesting if you watched his film Road Warrior (1981) and then Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). It's the same film maker and the same world/characters but just almost 35 years apart. The movies are pure action, and people fighting while in cars/vehicles. The stunts in these movies are truly something to behold.

Steven Roy

It's mind boggling how popular this was for a few moments in American culture. It even inspired the Australian-themed Outback Steakhouse that is still in business...I think.

Steven Roy

Yes,when it first happened many aussies weren't very happy that he left his wife of 20 years, Noelene, for Linda who was 20 years younger than Paul , very shortly after first meeting her. But since they stayed married for 24 years, most of us have forgiven him, can't stop true love. But I don't think his first wife Noelene has forgiven him, its reported she didnt speak to him for 17 years after the split, haha, i hope shes moved on and is happy now.

AlexMurphy

He was also the dad, who was a cop, on the TV show Family Matters.

Steven Roy

Great reaction ladies. This movie made the eqivalent of over a billion dollars in todays money at the box office and Paul Hogan who played Dundee was probably the most famous guy in the world after its release.

Scottish Smurf

You mean the limo driver

Scottish Smurf

Never expected a reaction to Crocodile Dundee to pop up. Glad it did since it's a great movie. And a great reaction from Chi and Katie.

Looney

Fun fact. Sue and Dundee got married in real life after the second movie.

Adelore Spokes

I like Chi's strong moral compass, she's awesome.πŸ™‚ Haven't seen the movie since I was a kid. Still a very fun movie. I still remember how famous the line "That's not a knife. This is a knife" was back then.πŸ˜… Great reaction ladies, as always.πŸ’œ

Digitalversager

I just realised... the taxi driver is the cop in Die Hard

Haru

Cheers for this.. Was desperately in need of something non-Christmassy to watch, you lovely ladies came through again.

watzizname

JessDMorgan
