March Var Demo & Compiled Scenes

Hi guys and gals,

I hope everyone is staying safe out there in these crazy times we are living at the moment.

A couple of things for you all today:

1. A march Demo scene: I'm still working through best practices to compile massive scenes as a Var, so rather than half ass it and release a bigger scene with a bunch of bugs I thought I would try a smaller scene and see how it goes. All you need to do with this package is drop it into the Addon Packages folder and you should have a scene to launch from your scenes folder.

Please let me know if there are issues with it.

2. A couple of you newer Patreon's have advised you have trouble finding my scene files in my chatter and video previews. So I have spent some time and compiled "everything" (still more to be added) into month folders for easy access!

Everything can now be accessed via the one Mega link. Please, please please don't share this link with anyone, I will be dumping a lot of scenes in here which I will not be sharing with the general community so please enjoy.

March Var Demo & Compiled Scenes

Hi, for the list of referenced ,like you said , it's better to create an unlocked patreon post with the dependency list of the var package you use (list that is updated when a patreon Creator release a var package of his work) and link to this dependency post to each release. Some people might say that a lot to download initial but now with 1.19 an emphasis have been made to have proper dependency with correct license in order to downloads dependency once ,unless the Creator have updated is work, and have less disk place use by scene that use same hair,plugin,..and have the final scene more lightweight. oeshi,nostage3 have released some hair free in var format like https://www.patreon.com/posts/free-hair-latte-35383823 it might be better/useful to use free hair in var package format, until ren and other creator release their own var packages, this way there will less update to do

Yeah thanks for your feedback, trying to weigh up the pros and cons. Most people complain about having to download extra things. I would like to put together a List of WadeVRX used .var's, so you dont need to download extra stuff when viewing my work, and I don't have to link to it all the time.

hi, after opening your package , there is some part that may be improved : as you know, you should whenever possible use the var version and reference the package you use some plugins and have added them but some have var (unless you have modified the script or the var don't exist) for example easy gaze that you have included have a var version: https://www.reddit.com/r/VAMscenes/comments/f83k7s/release_plugin_collection_easy_gaze_finger_motion/ for other since ren, and other creator might have (not?) released , it's better vheck regularly if the morph, hair, asset... creator have released an var version and update your scenes (unlike vac it better to have the var referenced in the scene) this way your released scene will a lot lighter and will be upgraded if plugin var that you have referenced is updated

Thanks a bunch for the feedback, very helpful. The new var system packing is not super intuitive.

wade

Thanks for the feedback! Using the packager I thought I was also packing that content, but I guess not. This was exactly the confirmation I was looking for thanks for the info

same issue as Dabernd here...

It's really unbelievable how complex your scenes are. All these links between triggers, plugins, actions, geometries aso. And i'm only slowly understanding one tenth of it. Big thumbs up!

Looks very nice. Unfortunately there seem to be some parts missing in the package. When I hit start, the log shows: Missing addon package Spacedog.Import_Reloaded_Lite.1 and a long list of missing pose presets. Like: Could not load json Custom/Atom/Person/Pose/Preset_WVRX.finger1.vap But it looks very promising :)

hi, it should be a very nice scene (if as the same as the gif) sadly it use some var that you didn't had give reference in your post. I have error with var package lacking from Damarmau : Damarmau jesse addon . As good rule of thumb, it better to give link (of patreon creator, if possible) of the package for the hair, model, morph... that you reference/use in you var package. Also it seem, as well , that the vap preset are not included making the scene not working. As a first test , it not that bad . Next time , it might be good to test you var on a clean VAM install (with var system of vam 1.19 it's very easy) in order to check what var you need to add as reference in your release post.
