I will try my best to emulate the original HikerAngel, as I understand that her niche was appreciated by many. She will continue to write and edit stories for the patreon over the next few months as I improve at her style. There are a lot of works planned in the future!

Have to admit this is pretty surprising. I can only assume that something has changed since the original HikerAngel said she would keep writing even if she got her book deal. I skimmed through the work you linked. You're a good writer, but it differs quite a lot from the original HikerAngel in that there's not much beatification and almost no breast expansion. In short your work is about super stuff, but not in the same sexual way. The original HikerAngel is writing in a specific niche that has very few writers, so I wonder if you will try to emulate that or if the stories will simply be quite different from now on?

I’ve written and post a comment, edited it and deleted it. I would love to say that I am not mad about this, but I feel a bit cheated. While I am not sure if others new it was a ‘brand vs an individual’ it feels slightly like a cop out. And while I appreciate she has found someone new to write under the name it does feel like a bait and switch. I really wish the new writer the best of luck / success, but they are now on the back foot with supporters over the way this was handled.

I think what stings the most is that its the successor who announces the withdrawal of the original author and introduces herself. It should be the other way around. I wish her all the best and I would not hesitate either if a tempting offer was there for the taking, but the transition could have done different if you ask me.

Although I do appreciate the honesty, I feel that I would have preferred closure rather then a mantle being passed. I haven't read through the examples provided of your work yet, I'd just would have rathered decided to subscribe based on my passion of your specific work then loyalty of another's past deeds (collaboration or not). I have a lot to think about. I wish OldHiker good luck on future endeavors.

Cant agree more. This is a quite harsh way of taking distance from a group of loyal followers who supported her all these months.

Agreed, very bad form for her to not sign off in person at the very least. Who would do such a thing? It's like leaving someone on the stage at a concert who says they will continue to impersonate you while you slip away without a word. Hard to imagine a bigger insult to the audience.

I must admit I don't quite understand. If the person currently writing as HikerAngel wants to stop writing in this genre, why not just stop? Why try and keep the name going? Feels somewhat disingenuous, to be blunt and honest.
