2025-05-06 13:27:07 +0000 UTCBy the way, it was actually Eren and Mikasa's Japanese voice actors who sang the opening part of Special 2's ending/ credits song. Towards the end of the first part of the song, the lead singer for Linked Horizon (the band doing the music for the song) starts singing and does the rest of the song. Linked Horizon has actually done most of the openings for Attack on Titan. They did both openings for season 1, the opening for season 2, the second opening for season 3 (and the first ending for season 3), but then (probably because the anime switched to a new animation studio) didn't return to do another opening or ending for the series until the very end. They did the ending for Special 2, and they did the opening for the "TV edit" version of the specials. (In Japan, they released a "TV edit" of both specials that were designed to fit in a normal TV timeslot. They received their own opening and ending.)

2025-05-06 05:48:45 +0000 UTCThe crazy thing about Ending 3 (the one you guys thought was creepy) is that it shows stuff that, at the time, hadn't even been shown in the manga yet: King Fritz having his daughters (Maria, Rose, Sina) eating Ymir, Titans eating the Marleyans and others, the Eldians being exiled to their island, and even The Rumbling itself! In short, this ending actually spoiled manga readers.

Anime op and ed are only small 1 minute to 1:30 portions of a longer song. That's why sometimes a song sounds a little abrupt because they are fitting portion of a song for a op and ed for tv

The messages of each song gave me goosebumps. And whoever edit the lyrics & fonts, they did a fantastic job. I personal love the OP 3 the most. It is like an anthem to me. Very motivating! Wow, Tony?! I didn’t know you can react music?! Awesome Tony is totally right about the intention of the composer for ending 3. It is supposed to feel creepy. And again, I was really surprised that the whole dong was singed in English (i’m such a crappy fan) Y’all don’t have to feel unfair about rating the songs. That’s totally understandable to me. It is your first time exposed to anime & JP songs culture. So the music sound new to you. I just appreciate the effort you put in to react to these type of animation/songs/storyline. 🥰

That being said, I really wish you guys would of used the SiM - "Under the Tree" anime version music video because the visuals are actually good. The fact this song mainly plays during credits doesn't do it any justice. Also the song is written from Mikasa's perspective whereas the "Rumbling" song is written from Eren's perspective.
