They’re so deep in the moment that they are fusing together, Kate’s using her powers to go through Illyana and you can see she’s also involuntarily using them on her left hand from how tight is her grip. Magik powers serve as an extra help rather than a merging element, they don’t have enough hands so they use their resources.
