Fire Pit

I've thought for a while now that the Z2 dungeon lava pits were actually fire pits so I put together the animated fire tiles from NES Batman. This was just to see what it looks like and will probably not end up in the game. NES Batman really has some amazing art!

New Palette Final?

I'm not certain this is what ZALiA's palette will end up as but I think it's fairly solid so far.
Note that I've revamped ZALiA's color/palette system but it will actually use any color you give it. I just like having a specific, limited set to choose from.

Some work toward an extended NES palette.
HoverBat, why don't you just use the asdfjillions of colors available to anyone?
idk. its too many color. i enjoy what can come from limited resources. i feel this is still way too many colors. maybe just 24 more on top of the NES. and maybe adjusting some of the NES colors. i'd like an engine that's maybe just 1 or 2 steps up from the classic NES feel. not 8-bit. not 16-bit. maybe 12-bit?

So Many Sprites

~3500 or so sprites. There was literally a separate image file created by gamemaker for each one. Github will only show the first 1000 so I came up with a script that creates one sprite with all them condensed and saves the data on all their positions, offsets, and dimensions. This all means that all player sprites, including skins, are drawn from one sprite by just drawing pieces of it. Biome Rando: The overworld biomes are shuffled. This can be toggled anytime in the options menu. Swamps do not slow you down due to the potential of there being a lot more swamp tiles.

Almost ready to release the patch for version-Q00, which released last month. Aside from a few fixes, the upcoming update will feature an updated version of anarkhya's detailed custom overworld graphics, and a brand new orchestral style audio set by Wyng. Dungeon Tile Swapping

I'm developing a system for alternate dungeon tile graphics, allowing dungeons to easily use tilesets from other dungeons or custom tilesets. This system will include an option in the rando setup that will assign each dungeon a different tileset. It enables creators to add significantly more detail compared to the current level.
