v0.5.5 - Development Update
Added 2024-12-16 18:52:23 +0000 UTCI figured it would be a good idea to take a brief break from swearing at Unity (well, the node editor I'm using within it) to provide an update.
After updating the Yui model, namely her nether regions (googling "bagofbaginas" should help the imagination somewhat), many of the existing vertex mappings for the model broke, so I've been spending much the last two weeks or so going back through the scenes and painstakingly fixing them. The node editor UI is unfortunately extremely buggy, so short of rewriting the scenes again in JSON I've had to step through the editor and fix as best as possible and in some instances remove things. I've changed some of the hand animations up too since I've somehow only just realised that the hands are actually kind of massive, however since the new hand system has custom animations per entity I can shrink it slightly for the next character and future object interactions "no-problemo".
Anyway, despite the setbacks I'm still aiming for a release before Christmas day, which will be the inclusion of the missing sex scene. I've also made some modifications to various shaders so the lighting/shadows for Yui now work correctly - since the censor shader was causing mayhem at pretty much all levels, I ditched it and cobbled together something better myself. There are also loads of other small additions/changes I'll be looking to make in preparation for the following release - however I'm keeping information on that under wraps until at least after the new year.
