Development Update
Added 2023-10-31 21:07:49 +0000 UTCIt's been a pretty stressful couple of weeks, however I'm about 95% done with the school environment, with just one more key room left to complete. After that's complete, I'll be focusing on scripting the actual prologue content, alongside updating the UI.
Updates since I last posted include:
- inventory and toast notification systems added, with full scripting integration
- sports hall, tennis courts, swimming pool, and changing rooms added
- tonemapping disabled, and realtime lighting/SSAO adjusted so that I don't need to worry about baked lighting (at least for the time being)
- R&D on importing, modifying, and exporting VRM models with blender; I now have a process that lets me freely modify the models, including the addition of custom blend shapes, which I plan to use for interaction with clothing ;)
I also need to add some additional scripting functionality for interactions, but it'll only take me about an hour or so to do, so it isn't a big deal; the inventory and toast systems only took about a couple of hours to do, it's just the damned 3d modelling/Unity editor that's really getting in my way.
Speaking of the Unity editor, it's absolute garbage - the core scene file I've been working on became corrupted last week after the editor crashed, so I had to spend about 2 days recovering the project. It also didn't help that my cloud backup hadn't backed up the scene file....
I'm not going to give a timeframe for completion, simply because it's pretty much impossible for me to determine with the way the Unity editor has been "working" (it's crashed twice so far today <_<). Just know that I'm working flat out, and I'm taking a risk financially to get this project off the ground, so I really couldn't afford to be taking it easy anyhow. :P

2023-11-28 12:40:37 +0000 UTCI finished scripting the final scene yesterday, however there are still some loose ends I need to tie up (along with some unrelated dev work that has landed on my desk) - best case I'll have a release within the next 24/48 hours, worst case it will be sometime around Friday.

Im really hyped, i certainly dont want to stress you, so take your time, but im already really excited to play something like a prologue. I also wouldnt mind paying 5 bucks for what ive seen and heard so far :p
