Phew!
Design prototypes of the main characters have been completed, and I've almost finished integrating them into the game framework. I've streamlined much of the process so it generally only takes about 10 minutes per model, but since some of the models vary in dimensions and materials, I'm taking a bit more time to ensure that there aren't any weird quirks in how they display. I also need to correctly weight the bones and configure the colliders for the hair on some of the models, but it's no biggie, and won't take all that much time to sort out.
And if anyone is wondering, I started this project about 3 weeks ago, however I have nearly two decades of software and game development experience, together with a degree in games development - so this isn't my first rodeo, and certainly nowhere near as complicated as some of the systems I've designed and built. I thought I'd put that out there in case people believe I may have bitten off more than I can chew ;)
Anyway, I'll be posting a fly-around video of all the characters in the classroom scene soon, hopefully in the next 24/48 hours.
I'll then likely disappear for a few days while I begin building the scenes and set dressing ready for the prologue, starting with about 4/5 school locations. Then I'll look to post a demonstration of the "hands" system. In fact, if I find the time later today I may take a few quick screenshots or a quick video and post it ^_^
