Batman Begins FULL Reaction
Added 2022-03-01 20:49:07 +0000 UTCPossibly the greatest origin story ever put to screen. This one never gets old, and seeing it again made me like it even more than before. Christian Bale's performance, especially in this first film, was truly amazing. The atmosphere of Gotham, the dark yet triumphant soundtrack, the grit, and the old-school humor sprinkled throughout... this is my type of superhero film!!

With only you I feel that we are both watching and enjoying the movie, instead of just listen her talking all the movie and never stops. Sorry. I don't mean to offend you or her, but I needed to let you know my opinion. That's all. (Sorry, but I can't finish the movie). So, let's find the next one ;)

2022-03-02 07:39:23 +0000 UTCI only have two Christopher Nolan movies I really love and neither of them is Batman haha. Not even the infamous 'Dark Knight' (as much as I love Heath Ledger). I will say, I remember this one being incredibly cinematic and I really love the way it's shot. The flashback of baby Bruce in the bat cave is still one of favourite scenes cinematographically. If I have time I may watch a bit of this reaction because I don't remember how strong the script was to be honest. But I do think I prefer this one to the sequel because I remember it felt more grounded. I'm similar to Domi in regards to superhero films (at least the newer ones). I really need it to have heart and psychological depth because action is not enough for me....unless the action/ choreography is immersive or tells a story of it's own (like in 'The Matrix'). Anyway good discussion as always. I look forward to hearing your closing thoughts on the next one :)
