2024-12-24 01:30:19 +0000 UTCWell, (re-)focussing people on minor issues and non-issues, as happens in this case (the more hysterics, the better), is a tried and true political strategy to prevent people from asking questions about the real problems and why they do not get solved. As to the scenario: I agree. The gender-sign on the door is not going to stop people intent on attacking somebody. That has been clear to me from the beginning of the hysterics. The whole idea is disconnected and irrational.

2024-12-23 18:50:39 +0000 UTCYou can stand at a toilet, if you must stand. Urinals are simply not needed. They are certainly not cleaner. Most people think a stream is solid, it is not. It's a series of drops, and those drops splash everywhere. If you ever swab the urinal walls, you will find some nasty stuff. Sitting in a stall is, overall, better for the person and the cleanliness of the area.

Some people argue it has health benefits for men like more fully emptying the bladder and prostate health and cleanliness urinals are an outdated part of the patriarchy that should have been retired a long time ago.
