That night, Peter hurried to the hospital with Gwen by his side. They came to the outside of the ward and saw Harry sitting on the chair and Marko's wife and daughter.
"How is he?" Peter looked into the ward and then looked at Harry.
"The doctor said that fortunately the bullet didn't hit a vital part. He is out of danger now, but he is still in a coma."
[“Flint Marko, do you want your powers back?” The narrator’s voice sounded in Marko’s mind. Strangely, no one else heard it this time.]
Marko, who was still in a coma, seemed to hear the voice of the narrator, asking him questions, but he felt as if he was dreaming. . .
"Someone attacked Gwen today, and then someone attacked you!" Peter said.
Harry was shocked when he heard this. Someone actually wanted to kill Gwen and himself at the same time? Who could have such a great hatred for them?
Gwen recalled what happened not long ago and said in shock, "Luckily Venom saved me. My dad and others are investigating this matter. I will let you know when I have any news."
Harry nodded, and at this time Mary Jane also arrived. She was stuck in traffic for a long time, so she was late.
Peter greeted her and Gwen smiled at her. Mary Jane felt a little sad as she saw how well-matched they both were.
But she didn't show it on her face. She smiled at the two of them and sat next to Harry.
At this time, Peter's cell phone rang. He picked it up and found someone from the police station. They found a person with the same identity through the surveillance cameras near the time when the two men were attacked.
When Peter, Harry and others found out that it was Eddie, everyone present was a little shocked because they had never seen Eddie in real life.
They didn't understand why Eddie would do such a thing. At this time, George from the police station took the call personally.
George Stacy told Peter and others about Eddie's recent experience. Only then did they know that Eddie had been subjected to a lot of public critic and bullying.
George inferred that Eddie hated them because of the screen broadcast, so he wanted to take revenge on them, so he asked them to be more careful. He also sent more police to protect Uncle Ben and Aunt May.
Peter and Gwen left the hospital, and Peter sent Gwen home. Just as he was about to leave, Venom suddenly jumped from Gwen to Peter, attached to his body and turned his red and blue suit black.
Peter felt Venom's thoughts and found that it was saying that its mission had been completed and now it was going to return to Peter. At this time, Peter suddenly realized that Venom was staying with Gwen for a reason. He looked up at the dark sky and said, "Thank you!"
Then he planned to find Eddie. Since he wanted to harm his family and friends, Peter naturally couldn't sit idly by!
Eddie hid in a dark, damp alley filled with a foul smell, his body slumped against the wall.
His eyes were empty and lifeless, his hand tightly grasped the pistol, but a bitter smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
He clearly understood that the police would soon follow the clues to find him, his identity would be exposed, and he would be hunted down, and all this was a fate he could not escape.
But he didn't care, or even didn't care at all. After all, ever since the screen exposed his actions, he had long lost the courage and will to live.
Now, he has become a rat crossing the street. People recognize him everywhere he goes. Even those fierce and brutal gang members stay away from him and don't want to have anything to do with him.
And all this is just because of The Screen, because of the existence of Peter Parker, and because of him, his parents also suffered from the cold violence of society and endured tremendous pressure and pain.
Once his attempt to shoot Gwen and Harry becomes public knowledge, his situation will become even more difficult and his parents will face even more brutal treatment.
He couldn't bring trouble to his parents, even though they no longer acknowledge him him.
He originally just wanted to let Peter Parker experience the pain of losing his loved ones in the screen at the last moment of his life, but now it seems that even such a small wish cannot be realized.
He didn't understand why Flint Marko, who killed people, could be forgiven by people, but he couldn't.
"Why did they do this to me?" he muttered to himself. "I just did what everyone does and made the same mistakes that everyone makes."
He was extremely confused and puzzled, his heart filled with resentment and dissatisfaction. Eddie would never understand the reason. At this moment, he only felt that his world had collapsed, the future was dark, and there was no hope at all.
"Lord, if you really exist, please end all these nightmares as soon as possible!" Eddie slowly drew a cross on his chest with his hands and picked up the pistol.
His face was pale and his eyes were empty. He slowly put the pistol into his mouth. His hands were shaking. He tried to pull the trigger, but his fingers lost control.
He took a deep breath, took the pistol out of his mouth and put it on his forehead. Sweat dripped from his forehead. He tried to pull the trigger again, but the fear in his heart prevented him from doing it.
After a while, Eddie still couldn't pull the trigger. He threw the gun to the ground, held his head with his hands, and cried in pain.
While Eddie was still struggling with his inner fear, Peter was already looking for him based on the approximate range provided by the police.
Peter was well aware of Eddie's situation. Everyone knew him and no one would be willing to help him, so the only place he could hide must be a bridge hole, a sewer or some hidden alley.
He had searched the bridge tunnel thoroughly but found no trace of Eddie. The sewer was too complicated and he didn't know where to start, so he started from the ground.
Fortunately, Eddie didn't get far on foot, and Peter soon found him in an alley and quietly climbed down over his head.
At this moment, a flash of lightning flashed, and Eddie, who was lowering his head, suddenly found a figure above his head. Peter also knew that he had been discovered.
Looking at Spider-Man falling to the ground, Eddie stood up suddenly, picked up the gun on the ground, and pointed it at Peter.
"Peter Parker! Come and kill me! If you don't kill me, I will kill you!" He yelled, but Peter did not move, just looked at him quietly.
After a long time, he said, "Eddie, give up. You know it's useless to me. Come back with me and turn yourself in!"
Eddie laughed sarcastically, then yelled at him: "Turn my self in? I have no hope anymore. You have ruined everything I have!!!"
After venting his inner emotions with a roar, he calmed down a little and suddenly smiled again, "Peter Parker, it's a good thing you're here. It gave me a good idea."
He put his raised hand down, wiped the pistol with his clothes, and picked it up with his sleeve. Then Eddie fired two shots at the walls on the left and right, "Bang!"
Peter looked at Eddie's actions with some confusion, not understanding what he meant, until he saw Eddie pointing a gun at himself, then he reacted and shot out spider web.
Chapter 102 The Amazing Spider-Man
"Bang!" Eddie Brock fell slowly, blood slowly flowing out of the bullet hole on his forehead. The next second after the bullet was fired, Peter's spider web pulled the pistol away and dropped it on the ground. Several consecutive gunshots rang through the night sky, waking up countless sleeping people.
"Eddie!!!" Peter yelled.
This was the final method Eddie thought of. Since he was going to die anyway, he might as well tainted Peter Parker image one last time and use his own death to frame him for murdering him.
There is no need to confirm it, as long as there are doubts, there will naturally be people who hate Peter Parker who will exaggerate this matter.
When the police car arrived, Eddie had been dead for a long time. Peter, wearing the spider suit, stood there, looking at his body quietly. He also understood Eddie's intention.
He smiled bitterly, not understanding why Eddie hated him so much and even framed him for his murder. Even if it was doomed to fail, it would make Peter feel very uncomfortable.
When Gwen went back to the police station to take a statement, Peter came to the police station in a hurry. Seeing that she was very worried, he comforted her that she would be fine.
Later, Harry, Mary Jane, Uncle Ben and Aunt May came. They had already learned about Eddie's death. Harry didn't believe that Peter would kill Eddie.
In fact, the police didn't believe it either, but due to procedures, some things had to be done, so Peter stayed in the police station and began to recount what happened.
. . . . . . . . .
The news that Eddie was shot dead and Spider-Man was a suspect quickly made the front page headlines, followed by the news that Eddie Brock failed to shoot Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn.
The broadcast of the two breaking news caused an uproar among the citizens. Most people believed that Spider-Man was a very kind person and would never kill anyone.
But there are a very small number of people that think that it must have been done by Peter Parker, because they judge others by themselves and think that Peter Parker is also a human being and it is inevitable that he would make mistakes.
It’s just that these words dare not be said publicly and are only circulated secretly. This is also Eddie’s purpose. As long as there is a stain, Peter Parker can never be a saint!
What's more, Peter also possesses venom. Even if The Screen said that it would no longer affect people's personalities, who knows whether it is true or not? Even if The Screen is lying, no one can tell.
. . . . . . .
[“Hello everyone! We have seen the story of the first generation Spiderman before. Now let’s see the story of the second generation Spider-Man!” The narrator’s voice sounded, attracting countless people to watch again. ]
After a few months, the Screen appeared again. This time it was silent for longer than before. Tony Stark thought that the Screen had stopped playing videos, but fortunately, it started playing videos again a few months later.
"I haven't heard this sound for several months. I missed it!" Tony said as he studied the more advanced Mark VII. This time his goal was to be able to fly directly to it and wear it.
This way he doesn't need to get a special machine to put in the armor. Although he has tried it before, the effect was not good. After several months of research, there has been obvious progress.
[“Some people often say that the first generation is Spider-Spirit, the second generation is Spider-Man, and the third generation is spider dad…”]
"Spider spirit..." the first-generation Spiderman raised his eyebrows. It actually said that to him. Although he also felt that he was being a bit outrageous.
"Spider spirit...hahaha..." Gwen couldn't help laughing as she looked at Peter who was being teased by the narration on the screen. Venom on her clothes began to sway along with the waves on her chest.
"Hey..." Peter turned his head helplessly and looked at Gwen, suddenly feeling very tired.
"Ok...Ok...I won't laugh anymore! I won't laugh anymore!" Gwen shook her hands and bent down to say.
"What do you mean by spider dad? How can you just say half of what you say?" Tony put down the tools in his hand, frowned and looked at the screen, complaining with great dissatisfaction!
[“Tony Stark, don’t ask so many questions. You’ll know what it means later!” The narrator didn’t care about Tony’s complaints. ]
"Tony Stark again? Who is he? Why does The Screen always reply to him? And ignore me?" A man in Africa hidden city complained.
"He is the savior, who are you? You want The Screen to reply to you? Are you worthy of that?" An old man on the side looked at him with disdain.
(PS: From here on, the first generation is called 1st Gen Spiderman and the second generation is Peter Parker)
[“Compared to the first generation Spider-Man, the second generation Spider-Man is relatively weaker, both in terms of physical fitness and recovery ability.” The head of the second generation spiderman appeared on the screen. ]
[“But the second generation Spider-Man is not completely useless. His proud spider sense and superior fighting skills are enough to make up for most of his shortcomings.”]
[As the voice of the Screen narration fell, the originally pitch-black Screen began to play. ]
In the 2nd gen spiderman world…
Harry Osborn looked at Peter Parker on the screen and felt that he looked very familiar. After thinking about it carefully, he suddenly laughed and said, "Peter! You actually became Spider-Man! When I get back, you must treat me to celebrate!"
When Harry learned that his old friend was Spider-Man, he wanted to go back to New York to find Peter Parker, but Norman Osborn disagreed. He was afraid that Peter Parker, would cause his son to be killed by like the Harry Osborn before!
[A little boy sitting on the stairs, covering his eyes and counting down, "Five, four, three, two, one! Ready or not, I am coming to find you!"]
[Then he walked down the stairs and began to search. Young Peter Parker first came to the living room, but there was no one inside and the TV was still playing.]
[He saw the shoes behind the curtain and thought he had found them. He walked quietly to the front and pulled it open. Unfortunately, there was a broom behind it with a hat on it.]
[Little Peter Parker searched around the house. He opened a door again, but still couldn't find it. He came to the cabinet in the corridor.]
[There were photos of his family and a pair of glasses on it. He put them on and looked like his father.]
[After putting down his glasses, he came to his father's study and saw that the desk was in a mess. The chair was overturned on the ground beside him, and the documents on the desk were scattered on the ground. ]
[He came behind the table, and the window next to it was swaying in the wind, and there was a crack in the glass.]
[“Dad? Dad!!!” As he shouted, his father Richard Parker ran over. When he saw the appearance of the house, he immediately had a bad feeling.]
[He picked up little Peter Parker and put him aside, drew the curtains, picked up the drawer on the floor, and checked it briefly to find that the things inside had not been taken away.]
[He picked up a pen and opened the drawer, revealing the inner layer. There was a document inside. He flipped through it for a few seconds to make sure it was not lost and felt relieved.]
[Mary Parker, his wife, picked up little Peter Parker, looked at him nervously, and then carried Peter out of the room.]
[Richard Parker erased most of the information on the blackboard and threw the eraser aside. The camera moved to the other side and a spider could be clearly seen in the container.]
[It was a dark night, and it was pouring rain. A car stopped at the door, and the couple, holding little Peter Parker, knocked on the door of Ben Parker and Aunt May.]
Chapter 103: Peter Misunderstood
Tobey Spiderman stared at the screen, a sense of déjà vu washing over him. The scene tugged at buried memories. Had his parents left him in a similar way? Who were the people chasing after them? Did they kill his parents?
Unable to suppress his curiosity, he returned to Uncle Ben’s house to ask about his parents. Uncle Ben sighed, recounting the little he knew. “Your father died in a plane crash. That’s all we were told.”
Tobey Spiderman pressed further, but the couple knew nothing more. Frustrated, he had no one else to turn to. Left with no choice, he fixed his attention back on the screen, hoping for answers to his questions.
2nd Gen Spider-manman was equally shaken. The events on the screen awakened fragments of his childhood he had long forgotten. Though blurry, they resonated deeply.
He had been following the screen’s content closely. Unlike the confident Peter Parker displayed there, Garfield had endured relentless bullying throughout school. How he envied the other Peter’s strength! Even in his school, there were girls named Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy, though they bore little resemblance to the ones on screen.
For years, 2nd Gen Spider-manman had dismissed it all as coincidence. Still, classmates taunted him, saying he didn’t deserve to share Spider-Man’s name. Everything changed two days ago when he stumbled upon a secret compartment in his father’s old briefcase.
The hidden documents revealed startling information. The next day, driven by curiosity, Garfield infiltrated Oscorp Industries using an intern’s stolen ID. He bypassed security, gaining access to the biology lab. There, he came across peculiar equipment.
While inspecting it, a spider bit him. The incident triggered a chaotic episode in the subway. Returning home, Garfield felt something was off. He was ravenously hungry and, shockingly, caught himself eyeing a fly as a potential meal.
Thankfully, Aunt May interrupted him. He raided the refrigerator instead, devouring its contents until his hunger subsided. Later, he discovered a spider dangling from his neck.
The realization hit him—he might be like the Spider-Man from the screen. Yet, fatigue overwhelmed him, and he fell asleep without further thought.
The next morning, his enhanced strength caused him to break things at home. That was when the screen began its broadcast.
[Ben Parker and Aunt May sat in their cozy living room, speaking with a couple seated across from them. Outside, little Peter Parker peeked through the window, curiosity etched on his face. Aunt May caught sight of him and smiled warmly.]
[“You’re going to stay with Aunt May and Uncle Ben for a while,” Richard Parker said gently, crouching to meet his son’s gaze.]
[“But I want to go with you!” little Peter protested, clutching his father’s hand tightly.]
[“No,” Richard said firmly, a hint of sadness in his eyes. “It’s not safe for you. You’ll be better off here.”]
[Mary Parker knelt beside her son, stroking his hair. Her voice trembled as she shared instructions with Aunt May: “He doesn’t like crusts on his sandwiches and needs a nightlight to sleep.” Tears glistened in her eyes as she added, “Please take good care of him.”]
[Richard, aware of the danger looming, pulled Mary to her feet. “Mary, we need to go.”]
[Mary hesitated, her heart breaking as she turned away from her son. “Be a good boy,” Richard whispered to Peter, placing a tender kiss on his forehead before closing the door behind him.]
[Rain poured relentlessly as little Peter watched his parents walk away. Aunt May crouched beside him, pulling him into a comforting embrace.]
“So Peter Parker’s parents disappeared under mysterious circumstances?” Tony Stark muttered, his curiosity piqued. “JARVIS, search for the identities of the people on the screen.”
“Yes, sir,” JARVIS replied after a brief pause. “No matching records found.”
Tony frowned. “Another parallel universe? Fascinating.” He tapped his chin thoughtfully. “So, what’s the deal with these generational Spider-Men? Why is he called the second generation?”
The screen offered no answers, leaving Tony perplexed.
Uncle Ben chuckled, nudging Peter. “Maybe the third generation is your son!”
“What?!” Peter blinked in confusion. “Where did that idea come from?”
The screen shifted scenes.
[Peter Parker, now older, pinned a photo to the school bulletin board. A label underneath read: “Debate Club!” Before he could step back, a basketball struck him squarely in the face. Stunned, he looked up to see Flash Thompson grinning smugly.]
[“SORRY!” Flash called out mockingly. His laughter echoed as he walked away.]
[Peter, always the pacifist, smiled awkwardly. “Good morning, Flash,” he said, brushing off the insult.]
Flash and his friends continued their pranks, but Peter endured them with good-natured resilience.
[A girl approached him in the hallway, her tone cheerful. “Hi, Peter, right?” she said, smiling brightly. “I love your photography!”]
[Peter’s cheeks flushed. “Oh, thank you!” he stammered, avoiding eye contact.]
[“Are you free Friday night?” she asked, leaning closer.]
[Peter’s heart raced. Was she asking him out? He nodded hesitantly, his voice barely above a whisper. “Yes, I think so…”]
[“Perfect! Could you take photos of my boyfriend’s car? I want to frame one as a gift for his birthday.”]
[Embarrassment washed over Peter as he realized his mistake. “Of course! That sounds like a great idea,” he said quickly, forcing a smile to hide his awkwardness.]
[Despite the misunderstanding, her recognition of his photography skills lifted his spirits.]
[Later, as Peter skated down the hallway, he nearly collided with a teacher.]
[“Peter!” the teacher barked. “Do you still want that skateboard?”]
[“Yes!” Peter replied earnestly, fearing the teacher might confiscate it.]
[“Then stop riding it inside! Put the wheels up!”]
[“Got it!” Peter held the skateboard over his head as he walked away.]
[But as soon as he turned the corner, he hopped back on, gliding smoothly down the hallway once more.]
Chapter 104 School Bully Flash Thompson
"Rebellious teenager, huh? Just like you were back then, except you didn't have a skateboard."
The first generation Uncle Ben smiled. At the beginning, the 1st Gen Spiderman in the screen was the same, rebellious
1st Gen Spider-man’s-Man touched his nose awkwardly, while Harry, still at the company, reflected on his school days.
[Peter approached his locker, only to find a couple kissing passionately right in front of it, completely oblivious to their surroundings. Peter sighed deeply at the sight.]
[He struggled to open his locker because the couple, too engrossed in their moment, pressed against the door. With great effort, Peter managed to pull his book out from a small gap. As soon as he let go, the locker slammed shut again.]
"Who are they? How dare they act so brazenly! Find them for me! I will punish them severely!"
The principal was livid. Such blatant behavior in broad daylight? What would become of the school's reputation? Were they here to study or indulge in public displays of affection?
The couple’s euphoria quickly turned to panic when they realized their actions were seen by the whole world. The girl immediately worried about how her parents would react, while the boy grew anxious about the school’s response.
Their fears were soon realized. A teacher found them, dragged them to the office, and a loud commotion ensued. Outside, curious students gathered to watch the drama unfold. Two overly eager onlookers were unlucky enough to be caught stretching their necks too far.
Peter, however, was oblivious to this chaos. He was busy facing the disapproving stares of Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Under their piercing gaze, Peter confessed everything.
After hearing him out, Uncle Ben sighed deeply. "I hope you can learn from the mistakes of the other Peter Parker."
But Aunt May was more worried about Uncle Ben himself, because the other spiderman in the screen action lead to Ben death.
Uncle Ben knew what Aunt May was thinking, but he didn't know if anything would happen to him, so he just patted her hand and said nothing.
[After class, Peter stepped out of the school building, camera in hand. Just outside, he noticed Gwen Stacy sitting on a bench, engrossed in a book.]
[Unable to resist, Peter secretly snapped a photo of her.]
[A commotion nearby caught his attention. "Eat it! Eat it!" someone shouted.]
[Curious, Peter turned to see a crowd gathered. In the center stood Flash Thompson, the school bully, holding another student—Gordon—upside down. Nearby students egged him on, laughing and jeering.]
["Eat your vegetables, Gordon! Hurry up!" Flash taunted, shaking the smaller boy.]
[Peter pushed his way through the crowd. Spotting him, Flash grinned maliciously. "Hey, Peter! Come here! Take a picture! Quick!"]
[Flash wanted to immortalize his bullying for laughs later. Peter, however, refused. "No! I won't take pictures of this! Put him down!"]
[Flash, annoyed by Peter's defiance, barked, "Take a picture, Parker!" Peter stood firm, repeatedly urging Flash to release Gordon.]
[Flash’s patience wore thin, and his expression darkened. "Take a picture, Peter!" he demanded again, his voice filled with menace.]
[Peter shouted back, "Put him down, Eugene!" His defiance enraged Flash, who tossed Gordon aside and stormed toward Peter.]
[Before Peter could check on Gordon, Flash grabbed him by the collar and punched him square in the face. Peter fell hard to the ground.]
["Get up, Parker!" Flash shouted, taunting him. As Peter struggled to his feet, Flash kneed him in the stomach, sending him sprawling again.]
[Nearby, the crowd chanted mockingly, "Get up! Get up! Get up!"]
[Before Peter could rise again, Flash delivered another blow, kicking him to the ground. Among the onlookers, Mary Jane—wearing glasses and a purple outfit—watched Peter with a twinge of sympathy.]
[Despite the pain, Peter refused to comply with Flash's demand. "I still won't take the picture!" he groaned from the ground.]
["Stay down, Parker!" Flash sneered, turning to the crowd. "Who else wants to try?" His smug expression dared anyone to step forward.]
[Just then, Gwen pushed through the crowd, standing behind him. "Flash!" she called firmly.]
[Startled, Flash spun around, his anger diminishing slightly at the sight of Gwen. "Flash," she continued, "are we still meeting after school today? My place, 3:30? I hope you’ve finished your homework. Last time, you disappointed me—greatly."]
[Faced with Gwen, Flash's bravado faded. He mumbled a reluctant, "Fine, whatever," and backed off. He couldn’t afford to upset Gwen, especially with his academic struggles threatening his spot on the football team.]
[Gwen pressed further, "Let’s head to class, okay? Hmm?"]
[The school bell rang, and Flash, eager to escape, muttered, "Whatever," and stalked off, leaving the scene.]
[Gwen trailed behind him but glanced back at Peter, who was struggling to stand. The crowd, finding the show over, dispersed. One of Flash's lackeys kicked Peter's camera before leaving, smirking disdainfully.]
[Alone on the ground, Peter checked his camera. Relief washed over him when he saw it wasn’t badly damaged.]
"Peter Parker, always kindhearted," 1st gen Uncle Ben remarked. "He may be an easy target for bullies, but he never bows to them. Perhaps that's why you become Spider-Man?"
2nd gen Harry narrowed his eyes and looked at the bullied Peter, recalling that in the early days, the 1st gen Harry had always protected the 1st gen Spiderman, and he couldn't help but sigh. If he was there, how could Peter be bullied?
Meanwhile, George Stacy, furious at the scene involving his daughter and Flash, called his wife. "Helen! Tell Gwen to stay away from that scum, Flash Thompson!" he barked.
"Call Eugene Flash Thompson to me!" And the roar was heard again in the office.
"Call Eugene Flash Thompson to the office immediately!"
Already furious over the earlier incident with the kissing couple, the principal now felt his blood pressure spike further. Witnessing Flash’s blatant bullying nearly sent him over the edge.
Chapter 105 Gwen’s Favor
[Peter entered the classroom and took his seat behind Gwen, slightly to her left. Gwen turned her head to look at him.]
["I think you did a great job!" she said, offering Peter a warm smile. After a brief pause, she added, "A little silly... but great!"]
[Peter, feeling embarrassed in front of his dream girl, kept his gaze fixed straight ahead, unable to meet her eyes.]
["You should go to the infirmary. You might have a concussion," Gwen advised with genuine concern.]
[Hearing her words, Peter looked at her in surprise, and Gwen also smiled sweetly at him. ]
["What's your name?" Gwen asked suddenly. Peter Parker had been invisible for so long that his name didn’t come to mind immediately.]
[“You don’t know my name?” Peter asked, startled.]
[“No! I know your name!” Gwen quickly corrected herself, flustered. “I just want to see if you still know it!”]
[Gwen realized her words sounded odd and quickly tried to recover. Peter, staring into her eyes, finally said, "Peter... Parker. Peter Parker."]
[“Good!” Gwen nodded with approval before turning her attention back to the podium.]
[Peter was somewhat delighted to be able to talk to Gwen, and he seemed to have a very favorable impression of her, and he couldn't help but glance at her from time to time.]
[“You really should go to the infirmary,” Gwen said again, turning back toward him with a pen in hand. Her tone made it clear she genuinely cared about his well-being.]
["Your name is Gwen, right?" Peter asked, as if confirming it for himself. Being this close to his goddess for the first time made him feel nervous.]
["Gwen Stacy," she introduced herself with a radiant smile.]
[“Okay,” Peter replied instinctively, nodding despite already knowing her name.]
"She's an amazing girl—kind, beautiful, and intelligent. She helps her classmates with homework, which shows her high IQ, and she handles awkward situations with emotional intelligence."
"And he has a high emotional intelligence. If he says something wrong, he can correct it immediately so as not to make the situation too embarrassing."
Citizens watching couldn’t help but admire Gwen. Compared to Toby's Gwen Stacy, Garfield’s Gwen Stacy seemed even more exceptional because of the additional details revealed.
"She is a good girl, Peter, you must protect her well! Don't let her get hurt!" Uncle Ben clearly remembered what The Screen said at the beginning.
The screen showed the first Spider-Man watching his best friend die, while the second Spider-Man held his dying girlfriend in his arms.
If this Peter was the second Spider-Man, he might face the heartbreak of losing Gwen Stacy. Uncle Ben hoped this Peter could avoid such a fate, though he wasn’t sure if Toby’s universe had resolved the tragedy of Harry’s death.
The screen seemed to hint at a doomed love between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. 1st Gen Spider-man’s-Man and Gwen weren’t destined to be together, so perhaps the second Spider-Man’s separation by death referred to Peter and Gwen.
Peter, sharp as always, picked up on the implication. He glanced at Uncle Ben and nodded silently.
Harry, watching from the sidelines, thought to himself, Peter, when I come back, I’ll never let you get hurt again!
"Peter Parker..." George Stacy muttered the name with a complex expression. He, like the others, understood the potential tragedy looming over his daughter and Peter.
"What should I do?" George muttered, conflicted about whether he should intervene if the two grew closer.
"Captain, I think they look like a good match," one of his subordinates offered.
George shot him a glare, then booted him from the office. Alone, he pondered his next steps.
[Peter returned home to find Aunt May busy in the kitchen. He greeted her warmly.]
["I'm making spaghetti and meatballs tonight!" Aunt May announced without looking up.]
[Hearing this, Peter said in disbelief: "No way? Spaghetti and meatballs?"]
[Aunt May heard what he said and was very puzzled by Peter Parker's sudden picky eating: "Since when did you stop liking spaghetti and meatballs?"]
[Unbeknownst to her, Peter had seen Gordon humiliated with the same dish earlier, which now left a bad taste in his mind.]
[As Peter grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, Aunt May noticed the bruise on his face. "Oh my goodness!"]
[After hearing her exclamation, Peter didn't know that she had seen the injury on his face, "What's wrong?"]
[“Your face! What happened?” Aunt May demanded, clearly worried he’d been in a fight.]
[Not wanting to worry her, Peter quickly lied. "I fell while skateboarding. It's nothing, really!"]
[Uncle Ben entered the kitchen carrying a dusty cardboard box. Aunt May immediately intervened, "Ben Parker! Don’t even think about putting that filthy thing in my kitchen!"]
[“These are the trophies I won for bowling!” Uncle Ben explained.]
[Aunt May, relenting slightly, sighed. "Fine, but keep that dirty thing out of my way!"]
[After placing the box down, Uncle Ben noticed the bruise on Peter's face. "What happened to you?" he asked with concern.]
["He fell down! Why are you kids playing with those things?" Aunt May said. She did not doubt Peter's words.]
[Uncle Ben wasn’t convinced by Peter’s excuse, though he chose not to call him out in front of Aunt May. Instead, he chuckled, "Kids and their skateboards. Remember the dumb things we did when we were their age?"]
[“I don’t remember!” Aunt May huffed, rolling her eyes. She didn’t appreciate Uncle Ben bringing up her antics in front of Peter.]
[“Believe me, we were like this when we were young!” Uncle Ben said to Peter earnestly.]
[“Okay! Thank you for telling me!” Aunt May complained about Uncle Ben bringing up those old stories. ]
Uncle Ben bends down and picks up the box again. He can see that Aunt May doesn't want such a dirty box in the kitchen.
[Peter saw Uncle Ben's bare feet with a lot of water stains on them, and couldn't help asking: " Hey! What happened? Where is the flood?"]
[“Come on, I’ll show you!” Uncle Ben replied, leading Peter out of the room.]
["Really?"]
[“Yes!” Uncle Ben said with a grin.]
[“Alright,” Peter agreed, following him, leaving Aunt May to finish cooking.]
