How Do We Talk About The Cosby Show?

This one nearly killed me.

The full story of the production nightmare that was this video will have to wait for a post-video stream, but the short version is I had to record the audio for this video four times. What you will hear in this video is a patchwork of all four records. I've tried to make it as smooth as possible, but if anyone notices audio issues, let me know, and I will try to sort this out.

In addition to the audio woes, the project folder for this video exploded, and is somewhere north of 100GB because of all the footage A few clips had to be cut, partially due to copyright concerns, and in one case because someone annoyed me. I might try to release a deleted scenes video for this one as a bonus. If I can find the time to put something like that together. About ten minutes were cut from this one.

Also, for those curious, I did include the recent news about Cosby being released. It was still very fresh news at the time, so I've had to add a little notice for it. One of the sad parts about making this video is that it was a complete shock to find he had gotten out. Reading the details of how he was prosecuted, I was surprised that testimony used against him was admitted into court in the first place.

There are two versions of this video linked below. The one up top is the regular version I'm worried is a little too loud. And a quiet version. If anyone wants to let me know which of the two sounds better, I'd appreciate it. My ears are struggling to tell at this point.

The difference in runtime (of 2 seconds) is because I cut a line that was redundant.

Regular - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vEAk-Ml3h8
Quiet - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w7THp1603A

I hope you all enjoy this video. It was an absolute struggle to make. But I think it turned out OK.

There was so much I had to leave out, but I tried to hit some of the highlights. Thanks for the kind words! As for the captioning, do you remember any specific parts that need to be fixed? I might see if I can adjust the captions manually to make them more accurate.

I just finished watching this and it was great, but the auto closed captioning made a few mistakes I had to explain to my deaf friend (YouTube is not friendly to deaf) it’s an interesting video. I wish you mentioned little Bill and nick at nights Cosby animation Fatherhood that came out in 2004 but great video nonetheless it’s great

Thanks for catching that! I'll correct it in the final version.

Watching now - it's great as usual! I just noticed a spelling error at https://youtu.be/2vEAk-Ml3h8?t=1187 ('refrenced')
