Hello dear Patrons,

time for some serious inspiration. Probably most of you know this movie. I watched it again very recently, after a longer while, and I wanted to share some thoughts with you guys.

This motion picture is over 25 years old and I have to admit that some elements did age, but the screenplay, the mood and the overall feel is still quite astounding.

The story was already legendary when Neil Jordan started to make this film back in the 90s. And probably having Anne Rice (the original novel author) also as the screenplay author gave a magnificent effect. Also you can easily feel that Sandy Powell did the costumes here, since everything is historically accurate and does a strong statement.

It's very important to mention a great performance by the young Kirsten Dunst playing by the side of Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas. The role of a child vampire Claudia is just unforgettable.
