I also got a reply from Patreon regarding if I can post 18+ content here on the public timeline, and it sounded like it would be frowned upon, but everything else should be fine.

If you're a patron, there's no problem. I just can't post that on the public timeline. I'll post the 18+ stuff sometime on Mastodon/Bsky.

Most of the artists I'm subscribed to have been posting lots of NSFW on their patreon for a long time without any problems but there's a couple who are worried about getting caught who do the link thing instead
