The Zetsu Mail [April 2023 Edition]
Added 2023-04-04 11:59:05 +0000 UTCHenlo! Welcome to the 2nd edition of the only monthly mail that's going to aggressively tell you to drink water >:((
I'm gonna come out clean: you're right, I'm missing an audio from last month. It's specifically titled "Psychotic Femboy Claims You As Theirs" and it was meant to be the final audio for the month. Unfortunately, I didn't account for one thing when I first drafted the audio titles.
I...didn't know how to write it. I didn't want to make it too similar to the other one about being a yandere's property but the concepts were just too close to each other that, coupled with other things going on in my life, totally drained my enthusiasm to work on it. Fortunately, I finally figured out how I wanted to write it so I do want to upload that before the new audios this month.
ANYWAY, with that out of the way let's talk about....passion. What does it really mean? Are you born with it or do you discover it? Right now, I'm conflicted. I'm someone who loves to dive into different skills and learn new things. Whenever somebody asks, "What are your hobbies?" I could answer in a million different ways.
"Uhh, I like writing, drawing, singing, voice acting, listening to and making music..."
I'm not really flexing here because I suck at most of them. But the reality is I'm very curious about various facets of creative work that I constantly find myself going, "I want to make a song!", "I want to write a book!", "I want to draw a manga!", "I want to be a VTuber!", "I want to make animations!", "I want to make a video game!", "I want to do voice acting!", so on, so forth.
Problem: I'm not a workaholic. Quite the opposite, actually.
It becomes a case of ambition without discipline, and it screws me over because I end up not being able to settle on one or two projects to run at once. Thankfully, I've graduated past the worst of it. The fact that I have a YouTube channel that's gotten traction is proof that I stuck to a thing long enough to see the tree bear fruit. I've only just begun my journey, though. At some point in the future, I'm going to stop making audios and move on with other projects. In the distant future, even those projects will be history and I'll be doing something else. All until I'm dead and then I'd have (hopefully) left some kind of a footprint behind.
There are so many things I want to do, but I realized that I needed to be more disciplined if I ever wanted to see any of them come true. As the resident "I studied for the test last night" student, I was never one to develop productive habits. However, I've found a way to help my brain focus on certain things at a time.
The Skill Tree.
Yes, I actually drew a skill tree on a piece of paper. Each bubble on the tree was a different skill or creative project that I wanted to work on. I decided on my starting bubbles which were my singing and gaming nodes. For 2023, I wanted to expand my channel into more streaming and gaming, which is why you've been seeing way more streams this year. I eventually want to be a regular streamer. The other side is making and uploading original music and perhaps even song covers. This would probably be on a different channel, but I definitely want to do music this year.
And that's all I have planned for 2023. My other nodes? I can only access them if I manage to build a consistent and stable schedule for my previous nodes. This way, I believe I can regulate myself and eventually hit those marks. We'll have to see if I make it. It's going to take years, but goddamn will I be accomplishing a ton.
Phew, quite the story huh? That about does it for this edition of The Zetsu Mail. Before I announce the audio theme for this month, I want to ask you guys a question.
What are some of the things you wanted to do for a long time but never got around to doing it?
Finally, the most exciting portion of the mail! In the past couple of months, we've been touching a lot of love territory (kind of comes with the nature of the audio) so what if we step away from that familiarity and head into something less familiar...the kinds of people you don't really know that well.
The theme for this month is coworkers. Get ready to meet some very "friendly" workplace buddies.
Thanks for reading.
