Tiers Update Announcement

Hello! Let's get right into it:

I went into a lot of detail in my previous post, so today is the announcement. I'm going to keep it brief. Nothing in this post will be unexpected.

First off, nothing should change for current patrons.

The existing tier will be "unpublished" but remain available-- this grandfathers in existing patrons. It just hides the old tiers from new sign-ups. If you're currently in a tier, you should be able to continue in that tier for as long as you want at the same price of your current subscription.

Any changes will only affect newcomers going forward (or, if current patrons leave and decide to return, you'll need to come back under the new tiers).

Note: This post was originally gonna be scheduled for tomorrow (Monday morning), but I decided to just publish it immediately to give patrons the extra advance notice.

Anyway, here's what we're gonna do:

The reason for a change is to increase the cost to better match with the amount of content available, so that the content is not devalued.

• $1 tier is going bye-bye. (for new signups) The default tier will be the $5 tier, providing access to all regular patron releases and the request thread.
• The only tiers will be Patron($5) and Patron+($10) (the ones that currently exist).

The only significant change to those tiers will be Bonus Pack access. This is necessary because there won't be a bottom tier anymore:

• All of the bonus packs available for the current 1$-tier will be moved to the $5-tier.
• All of the bonus packs available for the current 5$-tier will be moved to the $10-tier.

For reference, it will look something like this:

Because of the way that patron/itch works, I don't know if these pack downloads will remain available for grandfather patrons. So -- if you don't have all of these packs, download them now.

(of course you can always message me in the future if you lose access somehow, but it's easiest to grab them now to be safe)

I'm planning on making the changes this weekend (29th or 30th), so that we'll have the tier change going into the next month. That means you can download the bonus packs throughout this week.

It also means that this week will be the last time the $1-tier will be available for signups, so if you know someone who wants to get in before that tier is gone, let them know.

TLDR: Nothing will change for current patrons, the changes will be for new sign-ups going forward. The only difference for current patrons will be the bonus pack access, but if you download them now, or if you've already downloaded them, then it doesn't matter.
