Trader's Outpost
Added 2025-02-11 17:12:12 +0000 UTC"An outpost. What a poor name for such a quaint little village. Still, it's what made us our living, tending to the needs of the traveling merchants and goods peddlers.
Folks came in through all venues. By foot, mule-driven carriages, even ferries and small dinghies by way of dock. Of course, anyone making such journeys have needs. Beasts of burden and trader alike need feed, water, and a place to rest. But by far the most frequented establishment in the tiny hamlet was the inn.
Today was a day much like any other. The cretinous drunkards were playing "Drunk Daggers" again, even after I warned them against it. It was only last month a caravaneer was injured, we feared mortally so. Who would have thought that ale and flying blades could mix so badly?
Still, there's not much to entertain around these parts, so our little village gets by. I swear to the gods themselves, though, if one more knife finds it's way into one of my traveling patrons, there'll be some hard rules put down. It's my livelihood, after all."
