If we're being fair and comparing each song's strengths then this is actually Madonna vs JJ & TL (for this you can blame their heavy handed production style). But a slightly bigger issue is Rhythm Nation's message rings hollow compared to Vogue which on so many levels actually achieves what Janet preaches.

(i kinda wish they'd had another hit, because i love little talks...but it is very much a "fluke indie hit" song, so i'm not at all surprised that they only had one)
