Hey everyone!

I have some exciting news to share! I'm doing my very first live shows!!!

This summer I'll be bringing "This Might Be A Tangent..." to Toronto (July 24th & 25th at The Garrison) and Vancouver (July 27th & 28th at Biltmore Cabaret). I'm going to be talking about some absolutely fascinating topics to me, including the political economy and art of retooled fanfiction - think Fifty Shades of Grey, The Love Hypothesis, and even pseudo-fic stuff like The Locked Tomb series. Plus there's going to be audience interaction that I'm really excited about! No spoilers though.

Right now, shows are just in Canada (I would need an O-1 visa to work in the US, and things are quite dicey there right now) BUT if this goes well, and I'm hoping it does, I'd love to do something in the States too.

This is completely new territory for me and I'm honestly thrilled (and maybe a tiny bit nervous lol) about creating something that can only happen live. Preparing for it has been taking up a lot of my time and energy lately - which is why the next video is still in progress and on its way! I'm doing SO much reading of some very bad memoirs for it and I think it's going to be worth the wait.

Thank you for being patient with me as I explore this. I can't wait to hopefully see some familiar faces in the audience!!!
