Now Michelle's childhood in "Changing Clothes" is MUCH more reminiscent of my childhood (well, middle school & high school experience) than in Chapter 2 of "Michael/Michelle". Of course, I was never caught by my sister, nor were there any close calls (it was my mom that caught me, & I wish it wasn't) but still. While I did dress, I didn't have the waking vision experience Michelle had, but I DID dream I was a cis girl many times as a child. I dreamed I was in class as a girl, playing with my sister as a girl, etc. Of course, reading Chapter 2 makes me curious about the possibility that they may not have been just dreams. Did you write "Changing Clothes" & Chapter 2 based on first hand experience, & how often are your stories, or at least parts of your stories, based on life events?

Thanks. It is one of my favorites as well. It's actually a redux of a very, very early comic I made called Changing Clothes. The point of that comic was to do a TG animation, my first. This comic actually started out the same way, with the animation, which unfortunately does not run on .pdf since Flash has been retired. If you are interested in Changing Clothes, that is here: https://www.changingcomics.com/_files/ugd/7a64c5_143f3fbe5d4b400da7f02824c8ae0fa1.pdf

I'm sorry for responding so late. I have been busy these last couple of days, but I still read Chapter 2 Thursday night, pretty late. The first chapter was fun & interesting seeing Michelle's first foray into womanhood, & all the joys of the salon & the mall, but this chapter was fascinating.
I knew as soon as "Michael" made "his" way up to Missy's room, what would happen next, because I used to do the same thing. I even wore my younger sister's ballet fairy outfit too, & kind of came to the same conclusion. That it fit me pretty well, & (if I had the courage) I'd be a very cute girl. Of course, what happened next in Chapter 2, was different from how I experienced it. So Michelle may very well have always been a girl, but was somehow transformed into a boy at some point. It was interesting seeing the veil come down, & seeing how it affected her, going from a 13 year old boy, to a 9 year old girl, & the mental changes for 9 year old Michelle, etc. as well as how the veil snapped back into place. Since reading EG-R, Missy strikes me as kind of a bully. I don't like her much as a girl, or as an adult, & she kind of reminds me of the people who bullied me for being different from them, even before I came out. Aimee is awesome though. She clearly noticed that "Mike" was wearing Missy's clothes under her own, but didn't say anything. Such a great friend. I know Valerie is Michelle's true love, but I hope she gets to be best friends with Aimee.
Chapter 2 also adds some weight to my theory about these spells altering the past as much as they alter the time period in which these stories take place, & that the little girl Devon & Erin ARE the Devon & Erin from EG-R & "Intro to Archaeology" & Annie's spell has been altering their past as well as their present. Of course, with Michelle it seems to be deeper than that. Like she grew up (& experienced an entire life) as a girl first, before reality was altered & she was transformed into a boy, which seems to be hinted at by what Valerie says when she heard the story of Michelle's experience when she was 13/9. Of course, I'll read on to find the answers to my questions, & whether my theories will be proven, but it's fun to think about, speculate & form theories. Can't wait to read the next chapter. This has been a great story so far.
